Perspective Review from a Gmailer

As an avid Gmail user I have become accustomed to its default inbox layout of categories. This enables a user to be only notified of important and primary emails. First impressions of Cloudmagic. It does not work with Gmail, but does work for every other email service that utilizes folders and rules. What I mean by this is there is no way to set custom notifications by sender within Cloudmagic. Since Gmail does not use folders and instead labels these are not carried fwd into Cloudmagic. So a user will be notified of every email in their inbox. And since you can't set rules to file emails in folders within Gmail (and Cloudmagic for that matter), using Cloudmagic for Personal Gmail doesn't make sense. However, I will say that if you use Google Apps for Business and strictly have a business account for Gmail being notified of every email makes sense. The only other options I see out in Apple Apps that can provide further Gmail customization would be MyMail, AltaMail, Hop and Outlook. AltaMail being my favorite.

A Really Great Mail App... NOT ANYMORE

I'm downgrading this App to a 2 Star rating because of the poor built in browser. In fact, with the release of Microsoft's Outlook I may be dropping this app for good.

This mail app has one of the cleanest user interfaces you'll see. The colors and fonts look gorgeous, mail loads relatively quickly. The app doesn't feel bloated, it's very snappy except for the built in browser.

I'm not a fan of built in browsers, they never function as well as Safari. This is especially true with the CloudMagic browser. It's slow to load pages, video content for the most part don't work, it's a very frustrating experience and takes away from the rest of the App.

Unfortunately there is still no way to disable the built in browser. Nor is there an option for users to select the default browser of their choice. As a result users end up having to make several extra taps to open links in Safari and then when you go back to the mail app you have to tap out of the browser to get back to email. It's complete ineffective and unproductive.

For this reason I'm downgrading the App to 2 Stars from 4. The problems with the built in browser have existed since the App was introduced and for the developer to ignore the issue update after update is really inexcusable.

Does what I need, which many others do not

Update 4 Feb 15: very Fast Customer Service. Had an issue after the last update of iOS and the App. CS replied in a few hours and in a few more hours I was back up sorting, deleting, and responding to Emails without a hint of the issue.

While Could Magic lacks a few of the "Bells & Whistles" of monsters like Dispatch - which receives big kudos for its functionality, but it can't handle Exchange, etc. - it is able to handle (so far) any/all accounts I have. And it does so with a brilliantly simple and elegant UI. I'll take this combo every time. I run 4 different accounts through this App: biz, personal, & school. Get it and try it; it's the only way to really tell.
