Not so simple
Am not able to enter food into lunch, dinner, or snack without it kicking me out. Only breakfast and indulgences. Also, we get 7 pts for indulgences so what if I wanted TWO spoons of honey in my tea? There is no way to enter more than one of any item. The app won't flip horizontal with my iPad and will not even turn right side up unless it is in ONE certain position which is a bother in the kitchen when I'm looking up a part of a recipe, stirring with one hand and reaching out for the iPad with the other. Seemed like a dumb thing to overlook. Oh, and the BEST part is that MAYBE customer service will call me back in a week. Hello? The program only LASTS a week, people! So let's recap: not only is it NOT user friendly, but it doesn't even let you do the ONE thing it was designed for.....TO ENTER FOOD INTO THE DESIGNATED TIME SLOTS! (and in the appropriate amounts!) This is such a shame because the app is a wonderful idea and the pictures and information are top notch. Just another example of people not taking pride in their work :/
I rejoined and decided to give Simple Start a whirl. I like the meal/snack/indulgence ideas. I also like being able to add my own meals. But the app doesn't allow me to add my own snacks and I'd like to be able to do that. I would also like a running indulgence points so I can keep up with how any points I've used on indulgences. I would also like to see the meals and sides separate. Sometimes I might have the omelet but fruit instead of potatoes (just and example). I also have had a "dinner" item for lunch. These are just little tweaks that would make it more user friendly for me. Overall, great app.
Great app but...
This is a great app to help me get back on track for the New Year. The app doesn't sync between my ipad and my Samsung 4S phone. Also, I can't name snacks and indulgences like I can for main meals. I would use that for historical data. The "Build a Meal" is a great tool for choosing power foods but I can't edit after I've created a meal. Also not all power foods are listed there and there's no way to add an item in "Build a Meal" such as broccoli, cauliflower, etc. I'd like to see the app pull from the list of power foods in the mobile tracking app. Otherwise, I'm very excited about Simple Start and the recipes are delicious.
