Fun puzzle app with a science focus

This is a fun little game where children place the various pieces of the "experiment" in place to make it react in some way. For example, the first experiments include making a simple circuit and making a baking soda and vinegar volcano. Those are fun, but what I found really clever was the further experiments, which take the elements from the first ones and expand on them. So a secondary experiment allows the child to put together a radio, w/a dial the child can move as if it was being tuned to get different stations, or another experiment requires the child to add different colors to the volcano. I really liked this additional aspect; it gets children thinking about how basic science concepts can be used to explore more complex ideas. It is a fun app, with cute graphics, and a clever way to get children interested in some basic science ideas.

Good Simplification of science concepts for kids

I think this app is really good at allowing students to see the key components needed for science experiments. It also shows that without all of the pieces, the experiment won't work. It has a little light bulb that that gives more advanced information and explainations about why the experiment works, what causes the change, or facts about the scientist that discovered/ invented it. I think so some of the facts are a bit advanced for small children, but if there was a feature for it to read aloud the text it might help.

Fun to learn science

This is a great beginning app to teach young students some of the basics of science principles with this app. I really liked the background information found on the site about the different topics and look for more to come. It is a nice beginning for students who are just learning or struggle with some of the science concepts.
