The HondaLink® Launcher App enables a variety of Apple iPhone apps to be played through the Display Audio system of HondaLink equipped vehicles. The app also operates as a convenient link to download compatible apps onto your iPhone.
These apps include the HondaLink Navigation App, the HondaLink Aha App (entertainment), the HondaLink App (vehicle information) and now the iHeartRadio App for Auto (US Only).
The apps can work either in standalone mode (for use when not driving) or when connected to Honda vehicles equipped with the HondaLink-ready technology.
NOTE: Use of HondaLink apps in the vehicle requires an HDMI cable connector, Apple lightning adapter, and Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® connection. See hondanavi.com or handsfreelink.com for more information or to order the HondaLink iOS Cable Kit ($99).
Some services require use of GPS for location-based content. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
What's New in Version 1.6
Piece of crap!!! I want Apple CarPlay on my '17 Fit!!!!
1. Can't use my iPhone when this thing is connected.
2. It takes a minimum of 30 seconds for the head unit and phone to connect.
3. I have to "allow" my phone to connect to the system EVERY TIME I hook it up to my car!!!
4. When it reconnects, I have to navigate through several menus to get back to the Aha podcast I'm listening to.
I don't understand why Honda doesn't just switch everything to CarPlay. I just bought a 2017 Fit and am really bummed about the horrible app experience.
This is not easy or intuitive
This is the lowest part of driving my 2016 HRV. Interface not designed for easy entry of destination or adding to address book, voice prompts are irritating, and reboots frequently during use when synced to my iPhone 7plus. Does not operate as promised.
Seriously disappointed in how badly this fails. I don't even want to give it one star. Honda obviously does not care about its customers. They should be embarrassed
