really helps relax and focus
Full disclosure, I work for the organization that makes this, but I wanted to review this app anyway because I love it. Since I started using it on the last version, the thing that stands out to me the most is it just feels relaxing to use. As someone who works here I ought to say I use it every day but I'm actually not there yet in my meditation practice. That does let me see the difference though between days I use the app and days I don't, and I'm definitely more focused when I do. That's for the morning, and at night, for years I had a tough time calming down at night, and my habit used to be to have a drink or two, which could get me into a bad cycle. Since my wife is pregnant (yay!) and obviously is not drinking I decided to try joining her in abstaining, so I didn't have that crutch. Doing a meditation with this app, whether the one that's particularly for falling asleep, or the others, has been a much more healthy way to relax for me. I recommend this to friends and family a lot, especially people who like me were at the point of "yeah I would like to meditate but where should I start?" because it has a really nice flow of taking you by the hand and leading you into it.
Great tool for anyone trying to improve their life.
I started using this app several months ago to help me when I was having really bad anxiety attacks. I could open it up and start a meditation and it would break through the cyclic thoughts and give me a new focus. It was great for that.
I've continued to use it at least a few times a week- usually using the falling asleep meditation, but also focusing on change and cause and effect. I am to the point in my life where I want to be more positive and grounded, and this app really helps me with that.
These are thoughts and ideas people can preach all day- somehow when they're presented in this meditation format with a soothing speaker directing your train of thought, it seems to me it works better. You're in a more receptive state when you're doing deep breathing and relaxing your body purposefully.
This newest version of the app lets you check in after your meditation as well, to see if you have improved your mental or physical state at all.
I think it's a wonderful app for anyone that is prone to stress or anxiety and sometimes needs a sort of anchor to ground them. I think it's a great app for anyone looking to improve their moods or mindset. I think it would be a great app to use family style to teach children about mindfulness.

Best app I've ever downloaded
As any college student knows, finals time is a stressful and often emotional time of the year. I personally find falling asleep & staying asleep difficult when I'm under stress. So I looked up a sleep tracking app and stumbled on this meditation app (meditation is something I never considered doing before). I have completed two hours of meditations and can say that I feel much improved both physically, mentally and emotionally. I am already recommending this app to friends. It's also a nonprofit app, which is really refreshing. Two thumbs up, Breathe!
