What's New in Version 1.0.1
Minor bug fixed.
I love the game, and it would be awesome if you could read some of my suggestions:
-Once the player receives their first pot of legend trophy, the next New Game has a different background, and the bookshelves/ladders/paintings/etc. are in different positions.
-The player is able to choose, for each hero, whether they are a smasher or a collector using a switch. The smasher is the default current function of the hero, while the collector function will make the hero run around and pick up coins for you. The smasher and collector functions should use the same upgrade bar/prices, where the higher the upgrade the faster the hero collects coins.
-Just a simple button on the main menu to disable ads for a set price.
•Return to Menu
-A button either in the corner or in the Shop to return to the menu in order to see the credits, rankings, etc.
•Reset game and/or Prestige
-Reset game gets rid of all trophies and completely reset the game while prestige will get rid of all trophies and give you a certain percent bonus based on the amount of trophies for each coin collected (maybe only limit bonus to when coins are manually collected - assuming collectors are added) and each prestige percent will be added (if you were to prestige more than once)
Anyway, whether or not these suggestions are added, the game is pretty fun and I can see myself playing this for the foreseeable future.
Love hate relationship
The trick is to make users love and hate your app. I hate this game because it is so simplistic that I feel it is morally wrong. There is no point to many casual games currently in the market except for the mindless entertainment value and because the progression, visuals, audio and economy are strategically built to make people feel good. I love it because (even though I am painfully aware of this) it still very successful in capturing my attention for the past hour and gave me the impulse to keep playing until I "won". What did I win? The satisfaction of wasting an hour to say that I maxed out all those blasted progression bars? Lol. Brilliant. All in all, fantastic little devilish casual game model, loved the way the simplistic tapping is masked by well-done pixel art, nice choice in audio. This is just day one, but I expect this game to explode. It'll die out just as quickly without a grander scope though. Considering my game play time to "beat" was under an hour.
It's a simple idea and it's well executed. On the first play through you will be compelled to upgrade everything to the max and that will most likely transition you to beating the game with very little compulsion. However each subsequent play through will be quite lackluster as you realize how monotonous the game is and that the trophies have no significance. It's like an nfl athlete winning the Super Bowl and getting the ring and then going back next year and winning only to receive a spoon. Sure the spoon is a trophy, and its a symbol of your victory, but it's lame. Just for that reason it gets a 4 because clearly the game was designed to be replayed, but the replay value is almost null and will probably only be enjoyed by hardcore gamers/collectors.
