Really disappointed and upset!

This is such a silly list of what paleo eaters can have and not. ANY paleo publication, ANY simple google search, having read any article on paleo and you would get ALL the information contained in this app and more. It lists fish: yes, eat. Grains: no, stay away...really? I was hoping for more of a large list of products out there. Plain meat, fish, veggies, nuts, fats and oils is a no brainer! You're informed that by reading the definition of paleo. The items that get you are the ones that are packaged/even minimally processed and sold at stores. Where most everyone gets their food! For instance, what about jerky or sausage? That's a meat, your app says great! But most brands of jerky and sausage will be disqualified for preservatives and "seasonings". What are some things to look for, brands to look for or stay away from? GUESS I HAVE TO GO LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE. This app really frustrated me, as you can see.

This is a great foundation...but

When I say 'foundation' I mean this is a wonderful app going to the store when you can't remember exactly what it was that article said.

However, when you run into a category of food (like legumes), this app is still going to refer you to their website for the complete list. So if you are working solely on WiFi or happen to find yourself in an area with little to no cell service your tough out of luck.

So while this app is great, once you truly get the hang of it, you might find yourself opening it up less and less.

Ok, I knew that.

The app consists of a list paleo, and non-paleo foods. If you have read even one book, and have the least bit of sense of where foods come from, you already know everything the app tells you. And, much of what it tells you is questionable: Balsamic vinegar is paleo, (adding concentrated grape juice to vinegar doesn't seem paleo. Sugar is sugar); yogurt isn't paleo, but if you click more and go to the website you get told maybe it is paleo.

If you ask for more info about any of the categories you end up bounced to the website.

Not worth the money. Wouldn't be a good value at ten cents. Depending on how much memory your device has, it might not be worth the memory cost.
