Description
Clear Clipboard is a lightweight utility for clearing the clipboard content, it prevents sensitive clipboard data from being peeped.
The clipboard may contain sensitive data such as account information, credit card number, or other private data, you won't like other people seeing this. But there is no intuitive way to clear the clipboard content currently, and it is also annoying to copy a piece of garbage information in order to overwrite the sensitive clipboard data, that's why Clear Clipboard is created.
Clear Clipboard allows you to clear the clipboard content manually or automatically, preventing your clipboard data from being peeped while you are absent.
You can chose to clear the clipboard content every few seconds and enable clearing clipboard on computer sleep / display sleep / screen lock to maximize protection of your sensitive clipboard data.

Great little app
This app is easy to use to clear the clipboard--and you can have it run automatically at login. This is especially useful if you have copied a large amount of text or a huge graphic to the system clipboard.
However, except for its ability to clear the system clipboard (which is reason enough to buy and use it), it's not really needed on modern Macs. I have a 2018 MacBook Pro with 32GB of RAM and I can copy at least 148GB of information to the clipboard at one time with absolutely no noticeable slowdown of my system.
Simple and perfect
This is exactly how apps should be — do one thing and do it PERFECTLY! I use this many times daily for my work, since I'm frequently copy-pasting sensitive or private personal information to look up customers in different systems. My Clear Clipboard keyboard shortcut is a habit now. But if I *do* forget, the auto-erase has my back. Finally, the little detail of making the menu icon black when the clipboard has data, and greyed out when it's empty is just so nice. Thank you to the developer.
