Another great game by nimblebit! It says "offers in app purchases" but they don't jam it down your throats like other games do, which we all love. They only notify you about buying things with real money when it's on sale.
There are a lot of really good things that improve the gameplay compared to tiny tower (still a fantastic game) like if you don't have the floor that a person has as there dream job it shows up as ??? Here is an example.... If someone named Sam House applied for a job in the tower and his dream job is working at basement Poker (which is in the yellow category for jobs) it would show up as yellow ??? WHICH IS GENIUS! And then when you get the floor it says "basement poker".
If you are looking for a good fun game this is the one for you. Also if a dev from nimblebit is reading this I have a suggestion for your next game... Pocket bus or pocket truck were buses transport people and trucks transport cargo.... And like in pocket trains there is a big highway connecting the two land masses.... Just an idea but I know you guys can turn something like that into a big hit!
Love it, but...
I loved Tiny Tower and I was sure I would love the sequel. I was not wrong. Similar to the original in many aspects. However, I miss the customization. You can no longer paint the floors or rename the floors. This game is significally harder than Tiny Tower. Where in the first game I could build a new floor a day, the coins get exponentially higher in this game and it's almost impossible to build a floor everyday. I've managed to build a floor every two days so far. Even if a floor was at a lower level in the original game, (for example, if the diner was at a level one) the floors did not need as much stocking as this game. The floors are going out of stock so quickly that it gets annoying. I understand that this is how you get people to return to the game, and I am a fan of the games you micromanage, but this is too much of my time. I would rather play Pocket Planes or Disco Zoo. Overall this is a solid sequel, but I redownloaded the original and I'm enjoying playing it all over again.
This game is a ton of fun and a definite improvement over the original Tiny Tower. I love how easily you can hire and fire, plus it's fun seeing what random floors you're given. One thing I really enjoy is actually playing the mini games and earning bux that used to be so hard to attain. Plus the ways you can upgrade and customize the tower are fun although it does take a while to save up. Very fun, very amusing. BitBook is also a very cute little touch and the characters occasionally give me a little laugh at what is "posted" on their page. All in all I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys games you don't constantly need to sit on and play all day.
