A Reminder To PRAY For Israel

Claire Brianna

I am adding a request to the creator of this app. PLEASE CREATE A WAY FOR US TO POST THESE ALERTS ON FACEBOOK WHEN WE GET THEM! IT WILL ALERT PEOPLE TO THE CONSTANT ATTACKS ON ISRAEL THAT THEY ARE NIT AWARE OF.

I feel immense sadness when I hear the alarm. But I realized I could do much more than cry, because the alarm is a reminder to pray!! When you hear the alarm, PRAY immediately for the protection and safety of the group(s) that are under attack at that moment. (The alarm tells you specifically which settlement is under attack). Pray quickly, because the people only have from 15 seconds to a minute to reach safety. This is not a time for long drawn out prayers, this is a time for a short, specific prayer to God Almighty for the protection of Israel.

A reminder of reality

I downloaded this app yesterday because I wanted a clearer understanding of what it is like to try to live a normal life and suddenly get an air raid alert, to have to find immediate shelter. I am in the US and have girly and friends in Israel, living with this. I find it's very mind-opening to get these alerts, and the frequency and timing of the rockets is mind blowing. You hear that rockets are being fired from Gaza. When you get alerts to really know the frequency (I think there were about 6 within 10 minutes earlier), you get a truer understanding. I don't have it set loud, and it still makes me jump every time I hear it. I think the app must be a little buggy, because we also downloaded it on my daughter's iPhone, but the alerts don't sound on hers. I can't figure out why.
I also think it would be helpful to attach a map to each alert to give a clearer idea of the locations. Thank you for providing this app.

Updated review 7/15:
I downloaded the app to my iPad and it works as stated. After Israel accepted and Hamas rejected the ceasefire they launched rockets. The alarm has been going off on the iPad 3 ever since, but not on my iPhone 5. They are both set up the same way so I don't understand why it's not working on my iPhone.
I have updated my review to 4 stars. To those living in Israel this is a vital app. I assume like here in the US there is an option in settings for allowing government emergency alert communications. I've received several severe weather alerts lately.

Original review:
What a great idea for those living under the threat of rocket attacks. I didn't get any alerts even though my setting are all correct and hundreds of rockets have been launched since installation. I ran the self test and it says I'm not a registered user. I was never asked to register and see no option for doing so. I deleted the app as per the instructions and downloaded it again. Still no alerts.
I see many other comments with the same complaint. Please fix this for people who depend on the app for their safety.
