Featuring stunning art by Jaume Illustration, a half-million word script by Meg Jayanth, original music by Laurence Chapman, and built using the same inklewriter engine that powers our critically-acclaimed Sorcery! series, 80 DAYS is an interactive adventure created by your choices, on the fly, and is different every time you play.

Playing as Phileas Fogg's loyal valet, Passepartout, you must balance your master's health, your finances, and the time, as you choose your own path from city to city all the way around the world. Bribe your way onto early departures, but don't let yourself go bankrupt or you'll be sleeping rough and begging for aid! Trade items for profit, and collect the equipment for the conditions you'll face: but too much luggage will slow you down...

80 DAYS is a breakneck race, with an in-game clock that never stops running. Trains, steamers, hot-air balloons, boats, camels, horses and more leave and arrive minute by minute.

Every city and journey is narrated via an interactive story where you control every action. Will your choices speed you up - or lead you into disaster? Will you earn Fogg's trust and respect? Will you uncover the secrets and short-cuts that can shave days off your time? Murder, romance, rebellion and intrigue await!

The app is network-connected, with a live feed that shows you the position of all the other players of the game, their routes, triumphs and disasters. You can race to be the fastest - or look ahead to learn the secrets of the world.

Share your own journey with friends, and load other's routes directly into your app so you can race head-to-head.

80 DAYS is a complete experience, with no in-app purchases, and was made by a core team of just four people. If you enjoy it, please leave a rating, and check out our Sorcery! series.

Customer Reviews

Wow. A must-buy for iOS gamers.

It is a rare occurrence for me to find a game, particularly an iOS game that is completely text-based, so good that I feel a legitimate obligation to write a 5-star review. That being said, if you are not into a playable narrative, 80 Days is not for you. The first play-through I didn't pay much attention to the story, and that's a big mistake. The compelling choices you are given and the completely different ways that you can make it around the world on each play-through is truly extraordinary. The re-playablity is endless.

Although I've seen some reviews that say the game needs a guide, I disagree. I understand what they're saying because the game has about as much depth as the Grand Canyon, and I too was tempted at points to go to Safari and look up a guide or walkthrough. I never did it; I feel that if I did it would compromise the intrigue and genuine excitement that you get when you play the game.

One more note. As I was saying, on the first play-through I didn't find it too exciting. When you play this game, I recommend doing so with headphones, and when you have a little free time to simply sit and enjoy it. Have fun!

Surprising fun and oh what an adventure

This stands out as one of the very best games I have ever purchased. I have played through this game about five times and was thinking this last time that I was done, I had explored all that I could. Holy moley was I wrong. Due to some choices in what I had 'packed' and 'sold' the story veered into completely different territory. I am absolutely surprised. Seriously avoid any guides, you will figure it out and the game is more delightful when you do. It is text based, so don't expect brilliant graphics and animation. You do not have to converse there are other choices, and be aware that all your choices change the direction and outcome. This is not one of those games that require a guide because otherwise you come to an absolute stop. You will be able to continue and the tools for changing outcomes will unfold. Another thing, this does not always have a happy ending and it is absolutely not predictable. I have developed a genuine affection for 'my' character and applaud the writers for the dimensions that pop out. Kudos to the game developers!

Fantastic experience. UI a bit confusing.

I love this game. I've played through it twice so far and so has my wife. The writing is great, the story is gripping, the characters feel alive. I have two nits to pick: the UI is pretty confusing. Even after playing through twice, there are a lot of interactions that I don't understand and get in the way of the experience. Choosing routes and organizing the suitcase are the two that stand out most in my mind. The other critique I have is the conversations mid trip where you basically try to get information about new routes. These feel completely lifeless compared to the rest of the game, with characters responding like a bad AI instead of real people in a story. These two gripes keep the game from being perfect, but I still love the experience and recommend this game to anyone who is into interactive fiction.
