Access visual assistance on demand, if you are blind or visually impaired, or lend your eyes to the blind or visually impaired if you are sighted.
Be My Eyes is all about connecting blind or visually impaired with sighted volunteers, to help the blind or visually impaired lead more independent lives. Benefiting and contributing to the community is easy.
Blind or visually impaired users can request help from a sighted volunteer, who will receive a notification. As soon as the first sighted user accepts the request, a live audio-video connection will be established between the two parts. The sighted helper can now assist the blind or visually impaired, through the video connection from the blind or visually impaired user’s rear-facing camera.
As a sighted user, you are part of the big Be My Eyes volunteer-network, so don’t worry about leaving a blind person hanging, if you are not able to answer a request. We will simply forward the request and find the next available volunteer.
The blind or visually impaired user can need help with anything from knowing the expiry date on the milk, to making sure that their clothes match.

Incredible and life-changing app
I am legally blind and when I heard about this app, I couldn’t believe it. The help you receive from any number of their over 800,000 cited volunteers is indispensable and incredible. The overwhelming support this app gives a blind/visually impaired user is extremely helpful and valuable. They’ve teamed up with move it, a transportation app for those with little or no site at all. It is incredible to see how much things have changed since I first started using them earlier this year/last year. With the Moovit app, you can get help from any number of cited volunteers to help you with either bus/train/subway lines. They can help you on and off, and tell you where you’re at the entire time you’re using these apps. I can’t believe how much this has helped me. The help these apps give you as a blind/visually impaired person is indispensable and invaluable. I can’t wait to see what the future holes for be my eyes. Please try these out, either if you can or can’t see that well. Even if you don’t have a lot of time, as a sighted person, that’s OK. All you really need is a few minutes to help change/impact someone’s life for the better. Stay tuned with this app, I’ve got a huge feeling that there’s much much more in store for me my eyes and move it. If you haven’t tried these apps out, then I strongly urge you to. You never know, it might change your life for the better and forever.
A simple idea with life-changing results
If you are blind or visually impaired, and don’t already have this app, download it immediately. It’s a very simple concept. A cited volunteer looks through your phone’s camera and assist you with various tasks throughout your day. These tasks can be extremely mundane, like identifying what a box of cereal is or what color a shirt is... to very intricate and advanced tasks. just this morning, a volunteer help me reset the proper fuse on my circuit breaker. I’d say one of the coolest experiences I have had, is when a man stayed on the phone with me for almost 45 minutes, and I was able to upgrade the RAM on my iMac. This is a task that would be extremely difficult without help because you have to make sure the RAM sticks are lined up perfectly and facing in the right direction. Also, just to gain access to the ram area, you have to unscrew these miniature screws which are impossible to feel. But with the man’s help I was able to get the screws off, lineup the ram correctly and make sure it was installed. So if you’re sided and want to help, this is a great app where you can help blind people from almost anywhere as long as your iPhone is with you. If you’re blind and you don’t have this, I recommend getting it immediately. At first it might feel a little awkward for both sides, but trust me it helps you if you’re blind and you’re really helping people if your cited.
