Ratings and Reviews
Knowing the day’s top news events is one thing, but learning what happened before the breaking story can add a much deeper understanding of current affairs. Timeline serves up a visually pleasing array of trending stories, layering each with background on the sequence of events that led up to it. Whether it’s the timeline of a conflict in a war-torn nation or the fascinating tradition behind a popular holiday recipe, it’s a wonderfully intelligent way of getting the story beyond the headlines.
Is honesty ever really prevalent to these people?
Timeline is a fun concept of a historical view based on only one eye of perception. The left side. Most all of these stories are based on historical fact yet they purposely omit all the facts. I encourage you to take the stories with a grain of salt compared to that of the entire make up of a salt shaker. Read and attempt to understand their view, yet doing your own objective research will always lead you to the conclusion they have not told the entire story. Form your own opinion based not only on what they feed you but what you find to be true. It will be a common theme that you notice the history the write as fact can be compared to statistics that are sometimes skewed to reach only one persons perspective without offering another. If you can find major errors in even a small amount of their stories than how can you trust the majority of their "teachings"?
Great concept, poor delivery
The idea of this app is excellent. Showing how history interacts with current events is brilliant and much needed. By giving context to a story, it places that stores into a larger narrative with greater understanding. I highly applaud the concept.
However, the journalism used by the writers is atrocious. It is extremely biased. The writers rarely try to articulate the crux of the issue they are writing about. Most often they merely give their own point of view, with arguments and past events curtailed to that view. Opposing arguments are either glossed over or never mentioned; in some cases they are even mocked. Very little of what is written is actual news, while the vast majority is Op-Ed.
