Description
Hardboiled is a Fallout inspired role-playing game with turn-based combat.
The blast was immense. Humanity finally had destroyed itself. The fallout lasted for weeks after the bombs went off. If you didn’t die in the blast, you died in the coming weeks from radiation and disease. Everyone was fighting for survival in what's left of the abandoned towns and cities. Slowly the survivors are trying to put what's left of their lives back together, some even with force. Just like the other survivors, Max was trying to reclaim his life back. He drove from city to city trying to find a suitable place that was good enough to call home. However, after his latest stop, things got a little complicated starting with a few stolen car parts.
Will Max be able to get the parts back? Will he try his best to help those in need or just mow everyone down in his search. He is ready to become a fist of justice.

Fun game with great potential
This game is a Fallout 1 inspired, turn-based combat rpg. It has a basic leveling system where you can upgrade your strength, agility, and other stats. The premise of the game is that you are in a town and need to gather a certain number of parts for your car to escape. The combat is fun, but very hard. It took me a. Few days of an hour here and an hour there to beat the level. If the developer added more levels it would be more fun. Also, if you get all of the parts for the car be a ready for a fight before you head back to your car. I was injured from gathering the last part and low on ammo and lost the fight for the car. The game ended without giving me a second chance or allowing me to load to a point before the end fight. I had to start over to try again. I wish the dev would add a save/load feature and more levels. The game also needs more quests and storyline. I would give it 3.5/5 stars and change that to a 5/5 if the game had more levels and story development.
Thanks for a fun game. Week worth the $0.99. Please continue to build on this game and give us the fallout inspired iPad game we all want.
What Fallout could have been
This game is great in many ways. I love the turn based combat and that it gives you the choice to do things good or bad. This is the closes I can get to playing Fallout on mobile( not counting FS). This also reminds be of Fallout 3 Van Buren and I think that that's what the developers were going for. The only thing that bugs me is that the town is the only place you can go to and no where else. Maybe in a sequel they'll make it open world in the style of the Fallout classics though there is a change that there will be some 20th anniversary of Fallout 1 on iOS next year. This game is pretty challenging so think about what difficulty you'll pick.
Not bad!
It took me some time to get how the game works. I was frustrated at first, and I set the game aside with thoughts of deleting it. I'm glad I gave it a couple more tries to understand how it plays.
It's actually fun, and challenging. That's something that I can appreciate. I would appreciate it more with more content added, or perhaps a longer game based on the way this one works.
