Once again, the latest update for this app has created problems with remote connectivity. Every time iDevices rolls out a new update, I’m left to start from scratch. In an attempt to fix these problems, I now have to reset nine devices, since none of my iDevice products will connect remotely after the latest update. This requires me to travel approximately 50-miles, one-way, to the location where the devices are installed, get a ladder to reach the devices, reset all of the iDevice sockets and set them all up like they are new devices. These constant updates are pointless and resetting all the devices is an extreme inconvenience, which is costing me valuable time and money. I initially planned to use these iDevice products remotely, in coordination with remotely accessed security cameras as a professional security solution on properties that are monitored by security cameras, but are otherwise unoccupied for extended periods of time. Unfortunately, due to the constant app updates that render these devices inoperable until they are reset, I strongly advise anyone who is considering the iDevice products to avoid them. These products and their designated app are extremely unreliable and cannot be relied upon as a professional security solution.
I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing these issues! I checked in with our app development team, nothing in the most recent update should have had any effect on the connectivity of the Sockets. We’d love the opportunity to help you resolve this issue. When you’re there with the devices, please reach out to us at Support@iDevicesinc.com so we can look into this further for you!

I’ve been using this app along with my iDevices sockets and once again, this company decided to release another faulty update. Once I installed the latest update to the app, my phone would no longer connect to the iDevices sockets remotely, from outside their home network. It was mostly reliable, before the update. Unfortunately, the iDevices sockets and this app are now useless. I don’t reside at the location where I use the iDevices products, therefore this creates a major problem. I must now find time to travel to the location where the devices are being used, to troubleshoot whatever problems the latest update created. Most likely, all the devices will require resetting from the button located directly on each individual device. If you are in the market for remote sockets, outlets, etc. I highly recommend that you avoid the iDevices brand. Due to constant, faulty application updates, you will spend all of your time troubleshooting problems with their products. I regret purchasing the numerous iDevices products that I have. It was a very costly mistake for me.

Don't spend money on iDevices
Very expensive switch module died (no LED light showing/no device found on app) after a few months. I don't think I'll waste any more money on iDevices when there's so many other choices. I'd hoped to build on this system. Glad I didn't buy anything else expensive from them.
Seeing the recent reviews, it's not a difficult decision to switch to a competitor. Prior to my switch dying, I'd experienced problems with every update. Even though iDevices always says "nothing in the update should have caused connection problems". It seems unbelievable that it's always a "coincidence" that it stops working after an update. That's probably what blew out my switch.
Note how many times in reviews that they reply that the update shouldn't have caused connectivity problems. Do you believe them, or the customers it keeps happening to, "coincidently", over and over again.
Hi Cove view,
We're sorry to hear you're having issues with your Switch. If you're receiving no LED light on your Switch it sounds like the device is experiencing a power related hardware issue. To clarify, we have not released any firmware updates to the products themselves to change how they function since February. All recent updates have been interface changes to the app. Please reach out to us at Support@iDevicesinc.com so we can look into getting a replacement Switch out to you!
