Questionable Documentation

I spent several hours trying to get the indoor switch working. All of the trouble shooting recommended in the documentation that came with the product was gone through, probably a number of times each. It simply wouldn't connect! The iDevices software couldn't find the switch.

I called support. The problem was solved in five minutes by a very professional lady. It seems that there are several things that MUST be turned on in iPad Settings for the thing to work. Of course, the documentation doesn't bother to mention these requirements!

I am not fond of how events are set up, either. To my mind, there ought to be one screen for each on/off switch pair, not one screen for an on and another new screen for the following off.

Well, it's time to update this review after several months of product use. I've discovered that the device/software won't work in 5g. It took at least 20 minutes to discover that in the documentation. Also, it appears that a software update killed My on/off scheduling (see Error 77 for an explanation).Both of these issues are not good, shall we say!

Other than that, the switch works as advertised. Based on the update, though, I'm taking away a star. If I encounter a new and different set of issues in the next few months, I'll be looking for new software/switches!

Almost There...

Update 3/7:

New firmware update has the switches working consistently with Siri and HomeKit automation. However, geofencing through HomeKit now does not work 100% of the time and geofencing through the app works <50% of the time. If they fix this to work with HomeKit, they will have a great product.

Easy to set up with HomeKit, however these do not work consistently with automation through HomeKit, geofencing, or Siri commands. Defeats the purpose of the switches.

This is something the company will need to resolve in their software/firmware. Lutron used to have the same issue but they fixed it and their product now works flawlessly with HomeKit. I'm hoping this company does the same.

Love the Product

It works. Very reliable. Even when you lose power - as soon as it's restored - the lights reconnect and everything is back without any problem.
