Customer Reviews

Awesome

I love it. Now I know and understand certain idioms my mom use to tell me when I was a child.

Weak Content

I'll increase the rating if / when the content is upgraded. Most of the entries say the origin is unknown and there are so many common sayings missing that I have to rate the content as weak. I can't believe the origins of "blackmail", "chew the fat", "cold shoulder", "sowing your wild oats", "saved by the bell" and so many others are missing. Please keep upgrading the content and start providing the story behind the origin - not just the first time the saying was found in a written record which is not interesting at all.

Really great app

I feel like such a geek for saying this, but this app just excited the heck out of me. I love learning the source and reason for words and phrases in the English language, and this app does not disappoint in explaining all aspects of each idiom. Well put together, easy to navigate, and edited like a pro.
