Play the hammered dulcimer right on your iPad with your fingers! It's quick and easy to learn and can be used as a real instrument with some practice!
Just tap the strings of this realistic 15/14 hammered dulcimer to listen to it sing. Tap with two fingers to hear the distinct and ethereal sound of a hammer roll. You can toggle between leather and wooden hammers to soften or harden the sound.
Tap on the treble clef in the upper corner to toggle note on and off to help you know what to play.
What's New in Version 1.21
• Fixed string placement
• Universal support for iPhone and iPod Touch
• Fixed string sensitivity issues with multi touch. Users will need to turn off "Roll Gestures" and "Glissade" in settings to use the more responsive version.
Handy to have but it needs to be tuned!
I used this app on the plane traveling to Europe at the end of last year. I was able to work on the tunes I was to perform there. However, there are several strings in the app that were sampled out of tune. Can you *please* retune and resample the instrument for the next update? It is so annoying!! Hammered dulcimers do not *need* to be out of tune! ;-)
Disappointing, but great potential
Love the look and layout, but on my iPad there is a serious delay between striking the string and the string responding. The delay is very annoying and prevents any use beyond a few minutes. If this were fixed it would be a great app.
Out of tune
Oh my, this app has great potential, but it has too many strings out of tune. Another review warned me, but I thought, how bad could it be? Well, it is bad. I play a hammered dulcimer and I find this unacceptable. $1.99 wasted. Come on, WHY would you go to the trouble of making ANYTHING out of tune? Fix this issue and you will have a first rate app.
