A couple of problems
This app synced up with my Commercial 1750 quickly and easily, and generally works well. But there are a few issues that I have with it. For one, it doesn't count calories burned at the same rate as my treadmill, though it is linked to the same account where my information is stored. Also, though you can control speed, you have limited control over the incline function, so if you are treading across "flat terrain ", but want to increase calorie burn by raising the incline, the treadmill, after a few seconds, or any change of aspect, will go back down on its own. The speed control function works differently, as well. When I try to increase speed by one-tenth increments, it will change by three-tenth so, or five-tenths, which is annoying.
Rip off alert!!!
Not compatible with MOST Proform equipment, regardless of what you're told or see prior to purchase!!
Recently bought the Proform hybrid after seeing the videos extolling the virtues of the machine and the Ifit app only to find out that my machine uses Bluetooth and the app is set thru wifi! You'd think they would warn you of such an important discrepancy at the time of purchase, but instead they lead you to believe that as long as you have the membership you will be able to use the app with the machine.
When I finally found out that I wouldn't be able to use the app, I contacted the developer only to be told that they were in the process of developing an app compatible with the hybrid, however, they couldn't tell me when it would be available and that I should simply continue coming back to the App Store and search for it.
I feel misled and deceived and had I known this, would have chosen a different machine with a different manufacturer.
Be careful and make sure to ask the right questions PRIOR to purchase, or they will just let you think that this is something you can use!!!
No support for PF 400i
UPDATE **Spoke to iFit Customer Service on 22 Dec about the problem. They're well aware of all the problems, and the iPad app is pending a "very important update sometime in January". When I asked why they would do something so bass-ackwards, they had no real response besides a chuckle** Just bought a new ProForm Performance 400i (2016 model) that's enabled with iFit and Bluetooth, but this app refuses to see it. It only accepts IP addresses. Not going to return the treadmill (obviously), but what a major downfall. And you're a fool, iFit, if you think I'm paying $100/yr after buying a $600 treadmill.
