Great with web apps. Not so great with phone
I am using IF successfully with Beeminder, Google calendar, Trello, and Evernote. All of these things are primarily web apps. I have successfully set up recipes that fire with triggers from these apps, as well as recipes that fire when triggered by sending IFTTT an SMS.
The only problem I have is with the recipe to create a card in Trello when I make a new iOS reminder. For this to work, I seem to need to open the IF app. The recipe fires as soon as I open IF, but will never fire if I don't.
Can't say enough good things about this app!
Seriously? My favorite app of all time. What a clever way to collaboratively utilize the skills of so many brilliant tech savvy people. The "recipes" have saved me a significant amount of time and have drastically increased my social media presence on Twitter alone. I'd give this 100 stars if I could (and I hate writing reviews - and wasn't bribed for this one - so that tells you something. Ha)
I'm no expert with iOS. But, I definitely consider myself at least a novice user. After installing if and setting several recommended recipes a few days ago, I've only received a notification from one of them. I installed an additional recommended app to allow if to function which required creating another online account with my email again. I'm still unable to get any of it to work. This app makes great promises and would be very functional had it been easier to setup and use.
