Limited Options for Triggers
It does everything it's supposed to do quite well.
The only thing that irks me, is that I'm stuck using their triggers and have no means to create my own. So things like the Facebook "Save" feature I cannot create a trigger from, because they don't have that activity, but a share can be a trigger.
I get that programming would be involved for that level of customization, but I'm ok with that if the outcome is that all of us users with such skills could use them for the collective good of all users.
My recipes run everyday and have completely revolutionized my workflow. Sorting through the mass of information on the web, choosing that which is of interest and delivering right to my daily reading is but one aspect of how IFTTT can make life so much easier AND productive.
There is still room for improvement - more triggers, more channels, more compact UI - to name a few. But that's how anything improves - take it to the next level. It might not take much to make it FIVE stars!
Good, but needs a compact UI
I have several recipes I really like and I am impressed with Workflow integration. However, the UI requires way too much scrolling and tapping to get the information you want. For example:
- You cannot see when recipes were last run unless you (1) tap on each individual recipe in My Recipes or (2) scroll through the history timeline reading every entry.
- The history/timeline has too much white space and too many images. This makes the history unnecessarily long, requiring lots of scrolling.
The app needs:
- A compact list of recipes (one recipe per line).
- A way to sort recipes by name or date last run.
- A compact history/timeline option (only one line per event).
