Not horrible...but less user friendly than previous version.
Longtime user. Great to listen to several local ClearChannel/iheart stations on the go. When I travel domestically I don't have to give up my favorite morning show. Newest version of the app made a few changes not thrilled with -- force use of an acct to listen (although at least not forced fb login as they tried a few versions ago.) volume slider now hidden under the AirPlay-style logo up top. Ads are always going to show up - same happens in free radio, but free radio doesn't utilize data. Overall it's ok, not horrible. Not my only streaming app - different apps for different needs.
I cant even use it
I have always loved iheartradio!! I would give it 5 stars on any given day that it works correctly without any issues but here with these most recent updates I've encountered some truly annoying problems again. Its a repeat of the last issue i had. Like I hit my station and its normally pretty quick to load and play and as I wait I see my song is about to play and then it all goes haywire. It doesn't play any songs but flips through all the artists songs and related songs at hyper speed and won't stop. I restarted the app and my phone several times but my phone is not the problem. I cant even enjoy my music and I am very sad.

I used to use this app to listen to the radio on occasion. Never bothered to make an account for the more personalized options. Tonight I was listening to NPR (because I'm a nerd) on the way home in the car and wanted to continue listening to the show inside on my phone. Turns out I need an account to listen now. Nope, not interested. I stayed in the car until the show was over and was left alone in the dark in my garage. Thanks. I plan to keep the app around in case future updates restore some functionality without having to make an account.
