iHome Set provides a convenient interface to set clock, alarms, radio presets, and much more. For devices which support firmware updates, iHome Set will install updates when they are available.

A note to iHome App-enhanced product owners:

Building on the success of the hardware settings features within the widely popular apps, iHome+Sleep and iHome+Radio, iHome Set provides users a simple, quick-access app for hardware settings, alone. Many loyal users of iHome+Sleep and iHome+Radio requested such an app. We listened, and iHome Set is the result. Thanks very much for the feedback, and we hope many users will find iHome Set makes their iHome products even easier to use. iHome+Sleep and iHome+Radio will continue to offer advanced alarms and internet radio features, respectively. With the presence of iHome Set, Sleep and Radio will continue to evolve in a complementary fashion. We're very excited about what's in store!

Won't work at all since latest IOS upgrade

This app has always been a bit buggy, since I bought my iHome clock radio and installed the app on my phone. It would cease to work with one dock but the other one would be fine for a while, and then it would switch so the dock working would cease working and the one that hadn't been suddenly would again. It at least worked well enough that my clock radio was functional. However, since I upgraded to the current IOS, the app won't work at all with the radio. I plug my phone into either dock and my phone says the accessory is not supported. I can't listen to music on my phone when docked and can't set my alarm.

I've been patiently waiting for an update to come out for the app so it will work again but still there's been nothing. And I was discouraged to see that the most recent update to it was done in November 2013. Please update the app and the other related iHome apps so the clock will work with my phone or this expensive clock that I enjoyed until now is useless.

Utterly Craptastic!

I got 2 of the clocks. And, after reading the reviews, DIDN'T download the app when setting them up. Without the app the clocks work fine, and even charges the iPhone 5. But, dumb me, I wanted to wake to a playlist. Without the app to interface w/the phone the only options are buzzer or radio. So, I installed the app...

Wow! It's SERIOUSLY BAD! The graphics and options are fine. What's wrong is that it crashes and looses random settings on a consistent basis. It doesn't pickup the alarms from the clock, nor the EQ, volume, or preset stations, etc. the weird part is that it did fine the very first time I docked the phone. The next time it went crazy. So, you set them manually (in the app) and they disappear when it crashes. Over and over again...

The worst part is that it turns the clock volume to ZERO when it crashes. For the money I paid, the app SHOULD work right. Pathetic development on iHome's part. They've played the Apple game long enough they really should be able to do much better. Sad.

Not-so-smart device

For a "smart" device, the iD38 iHome is not very smart. I downloaded iHome + Set to set my alarms and get the device to work with my iPhone, only to find out that the "alarm" can be music (radio, playlist, etc.) but not a tone (no buzzers, bells, ring tones, or anything). I did download iHome + Sleep, which has a nice selection of wake alarms. But it took me a week to figure out how to get the iHome + Sleep alarm to work on the base. It turns out that you can't sleep to radio and wake to the iPhone alarm, because you have to MANUALLY switch the base input from RADIO to iPOD or AUX. I would think the app would override the input setting on the base, so that you can play the radio and still wake to the alarm in the app... but no. If the base is set to radio input the alarm on the app is inaudible. So you have to switch the base from RADIO input to iPOD input before you set the alarm in the app. To me, this is a major shortcoming in an "App enabled" device.
