What's New in Version 2.0
--DO NOT UPDATE UNTIL YOU ARE FINISHED WITH YOUR CURRENT JURY SELECTION--
In Court Scoring in v2.0 has been redesigned. Opening a Case Profile created in v1.0 will cause In Court Scores for individual Jurors to reset, affecting the Overall Scores of your Jurors. Therefore, if you wish to keep the current In Court Score data from past jury selections, we recommend you record the current In Court Score values of your individual Jurors BEFORE updating, so you can re-enter the scores using the new scoring interface, or so you can simply keep this information for your records.
*New Juror scoring interface
*Ability to define number of Jurors per row
*Advanced Group Scoring functionality
*Track peremptory strikes and dismissals for cause
*Added Juror Profile Fields
*Updated Dynamic Bar Charts
*Redesigned Export Functionality
*Built in video tutorial
I am very excited about the possibilities with this app. It has one serious limitation and that is that there is no way to keep track of the juror's answers to the voir dire questions. I foresee this being a big problem in trial when I have to get up and address the jurors during voir dire (I'm in California where we are permitted to do this extensively in civil cases and to a more limited degree in criminal trials). I figure that I will ultimately have to resort to post its to keep track of answers to voir dire questions. So, for this reason, I cannot give this app five stars. And also for this reason I cannot take the risk of plunging straight into my next trial with solely this app for voir dire. I am hopeful that this issue will be addressed in future versions of this app.
I foresee that, when this limitation is fixed, the best way to use this app will be in conjunction with a wireless keyboard for iPad and maybe a wireless IMouse. For those that aren't aware, both of these accessories really do exist and can be bought at the apple store.
Best app on my iPad
More than I expected from a $15. app. It is wonderful! One of the finest features is the ability to change a juror profile on the fly. Auto corrects (when it is set properly) if you accidentally tap outside of the notes box. Sensational! Easy to use once you get past the slight learning curve.
Worst app on my iPad
I expected so much more for $15. This app is terrible! Changes to a jurors profile cannot be made on the fly. If you accidentally tap outside of the notes box you will lose your information. The report only displays half of the information. Terrible! I want a refund! ,
