ImageConvert is an application for converting image file formats of one or more files, i.e. it works in batch mode.
Visit the website for more information and a demo.
Choose the output file format in Preferences.
Converted images have the same name as the original, with the appropriate file extension. If a file by the same name does exist in the destination then the file name will be appended with a unique string.
After you drop your image files or folder of image files on the main window or the app icon in the Finder or Dock you will be prompted for the destination of the output, unless you have specified a default destination in Preferences.
Supported import/export file formats are determined by the QuickTime components installed on your Mac.

Former 5 STAR - Last ‘Fix’ took way too long!!!!!
This used to be one of my favorite image convert apps. It was amazing … until it wasn’t. You see, it was not simply buggy, it just stopped working alltogether. Months passed, MONTHS before we had a fix that came March 28th and I am glad to say that it is (again) working. But you see LIMIT POINT SOFTWARE, you took too long to address the problem. Emails sent to support, UNANSWERED! I cannot sit by and not warn future buyers to simply 'caveat emptor’ … let the buyer beware. I hope this fix holds. I hope the software works as well (or better) than it did before. I hope that after the next OS upgrade that you have your act together and are ready for the continued operation to allow us paying customers to have use of a program we came to reply upon. In the meantime and until I know for sure. This review stands. You see, I previously left 5 Star review and then felt guilty in not knowing how many paid for a DEAD app. I want to remove this and change it to 5 stars again but, you need to show me that you are in it for the long haul.
P.S. I wanted to buy MAILINGS, a bulk mail app offered by the same developer and then read reviews … guess what, complaints of unanswered emails from support. This company needs to learn how to trear paying customers or simply go away. It is not too late to fix your problems but, where is the leadership that is going to make sure positive changes come.
No Frills and Works Great
Since no reviews have been posted, I wanted to provide one for anyone looking for a free, batch photo RAW-to-JPG conversion app:
First of all, this app is very basic. No fancy interface, etc. Once installed in the applications folder, open the app and a pop up box will appear instructing you to drag and drop your images for conversion. I simply pulled mine straight out of iPhoto. After that, I was asked to select a destination for the converted images, and that was it!
One thing I noticed on the converted images, is that they are actually converted into JP2 files, rather than JPG. Hopefully, this is inconsequential later on, but I thought it worth the mention.
In conclusion, this app is FREE and it offers batch conversion, so I had to leave a good review and say thank you to its developers! Thanks again!
The default conversion appears to be JP2, but this can be changed under the preferences options: simply open your preferences within the app and you can change the default conversion type, as well as your destination folder. Hope this helps!
5 stars but...
I'm not one to give below five stars unless the application does not perform the way it should and as it describes, which this app does and quickly. But if your looking for quality and not quantity stick with preview. I did a side by side comparison with a png formatted pic then used this app and preview side by side to convert to a jpg... no comparison preview is better. For free and for what it does this app is awesome... Maybe there will be an update with an edit mode in the future.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
