What’s New

Version 1.70

New feature: The program solicits whether to overwrite the original files while exporting.
Major bugs were fixed:
1.The filename extension after saving may disaccord with that of original.
2.The capital file format .JPG was tampered into lowercase .jpg without any hint.
3.The dimensionality remains unchanged while resizing.
4.The result of resizing lacks conformity with what was set.
5.The interface will not response if a folder is being create while exporting.

Great Tool, But Buggy

Great tool, really easy to use, but sometimes the render gets stuck on the wheel and won’t let me export/save the changes. Overall, nice tool to use and has been very helpful. Hopefully they’ll fix this bug soon.

Excellent photo size reduction without noticable loss in quality.

I use this app to batch-shrink the size of photos I take with my camera before I upload them to the web and it does an amazing job. Shrinks 1.5 Gig photos to 10 or 15% of their original size without any apparant loss, and it does groups of them at once. I upload real estate photos and they have to look very good … and they do. This app is an outstanding value. This app is very reliable and very fast. Shrinks 60 large photos in about 10 seconds. Best resizer available.

Excellent app at what it does, with a few small issues

First of all congratulations for what is a very good app (ImageMini). I have some issues though that I think you should address:

1. Why does the app start processing files as soon as I add them? If I change the export size it will cancel the images that have already been processed, and only do them again at the end. I think this approach is wrong - the app should not do anything when files are added, but rather when you export.

2. When exporting, there should be an option to overwrite originals. This would save me the time of having to manually replace the originals file - if I want to.

3. The export size parameters (width x height) are not respected correctly for portrait images. Consider the following example:
- original size: 5184 x 3456
- export size chosen: 2048 x 1536
If the image is in landscape mode, the resized image is indeed 2048 x 1536. But if the image is in portrait mode, it will use 1024 x 1536, which I think is wrong - it should rather use 1536 x 2048 (the reverse of the export size I chose). This way all images will have the same dimensions and correct orientation.
