Natural disasters, a warming climate, and human activities are rapidly altering the face of our planet. NASA’s Images of Change app lets you take a close-up view of many of these changes in an exciting and hands-on format. The app presents a curated collection of the best image pairs from NASA’s Global Climate Change website. These image pairs show areas that have been subject to natural disasters or seen significant change over time. Compare Alaska’s Muir Glacier in 1941 to the glacier as it looked in 2004. Take a before-and-after look at flooding in the Missouri River or at wildfires in Colorado. See the expansion of agriculture in Saudi Arabia as viewed from satellites. All photo pairs can be viewed individually, side by side, or overlaid with a slider bar for easy comparisons. Each image pair contains background information and a map showing its location. The images presented in Images of Change are meticulously selected and constantly updated to give you an informative, compelling, and up-to-date visual experience.
Graphics updates for iOS 8, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus.

Stunning Images of Climate Change
This app has beautiful (and very sad) photos of the effects of climate change. It's clear to see and at this point the facts are indisputable. Use the top right icons to see different locations throughout the world. Thanks for this informative app, NASA!
Powerful evidence based science
Dramatic changes that happen in a blink of geologic time laid bare. Undeniable evidence of human influence when you consider that never before has there been so much change in such a short time with a clearly evident cause. I'd love to deny our part in this, but nay-Sayers have to ignore the fact that this is happening at the unprecedented and alarming rate recorded here. This app is a great educational tool and its negative reviewers are evidence that some want us to look away from the truth before us, disbelieving our eyes and denying reason.
The before and after images of natural disasters and climate change are very eye-opening. For example, the amount glaciers disappearing in the past decades is unbelievable. This is a great app for anyone who is concerned about the environment.
