The “App" From Hell

I made the critical mistake of downloading then trying to open and run this “app.” It will not open, it will not run, but that’s not the worst part. It will not close or be moved to the trash for deletion. I’ve been using Macs for 17 years, and I've tried everything I know to stop this little gem. Yet it’s just in there somewhere doing whatever it is that it does. Avoid this junk at all costs. Apple, get your stuff together. We’re supposed to be able to trust items the app store.

Developer Response

Hi Rick. Developers are now apple to respond to user reviews on the Mac App Store, so here's what I have to say :)

ImaPic works! Many first time users are just confused and for some reason to not realise that you have to just drag-and-drop images on ImaPic's menu bar icon. This is shown on the main screenshot of the app and the Intro tutorial.

Other use case scenario that I've experienced is - people try to drag-and-drop PDF files thinking it's an image.. ImaPic supports PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP and some other image types.

In any case, I hope my reply helps and if you continue to have some issues with ImaPic I'm always glad to help. You can get in touch via

i just downloaded this app,,, it does not even work,,, the window opend the first time,,,
said to drag image to menu bare to begin,,, it didnt work,,, now when i try to launch
the app,,, it does not even open,,,if i were able to give it no stars i would!!! total waste
of time and space!!!

Awesome app, even better support!

1) When launched, the app shows up in your menu bar and in order to see it’s Editor window - just drag&drop image/s on it! As shown on the initial screenshot and “first launch” slide show.
Please, take a moment to read those 1-4 lines and do not leave a 1 start review, if you are too lazy to read.

2) Sergei is very responsive and gladly helped me in like 10-15 min. Brilliant support! Thanks
3) This is one of the best apps out there for fast image editing. Being involved in socila media marketing, I’ve been looking forward to this type of tool for a long time!
4) Support the developer by upgrading to PRO!
