MapMyHike uses the built-in GPS technology of your iPhone to enable you to track your hikes and gets you closer to achieving your health and fitness goals. Step out your front door, hit the trail, and this app will effortlessly mark out your path along an interactive map and record essential metrics including duration, distance, pace, speed and elevation. Once you finish your hike, save your data and it automatically uploads to www.MapMyHike.com where you can view your route, hike data, and a comprehensive workout history. Plus, the new MapMyHike gives you the ability to easily share your hike data with friends and family via email and Twitter.

Should you choose to upgrade to MVP, payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. The monthly subscription costs USD 5.99 per month while the yearly subscription costs USD 29.99 per year or USD 2.50 per month. Subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. There is no increase in cost when renewing.
Subscriptions can be managed and auto-renewal turned off in Account Settings in iTunes after purchase. Once purchased, the current period can not be cancelled. Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited if you choose to purchase a subscription to MVP.

MapMyHike is great for logging my daily walks.
I had heart surgery last November. So it is very important that I Maintain a good schedule of walks. This is the perfect tool for that. It gives me a very accurate measure of both the distance I walk and the pace I maintain. It challenges me to increase both of them. A great app! Thanks.
Great for tracking distance!
I hike and bike a lot in Colorado. This app is wonderful for tracking distance, calories and pace, which is great! The only feature I'd ask for is the ability to change the workout type. I put "hiking" by accident and it would be great to be able to change it to "cycling" after the recording completes.
Very easy and helpful
I love this app and use it whenever I hike. It even saved us when we decided to take a "short cut" and got lost. We were easily able to find our way back. One of my favorite apps on my phone!
