In a surprise victory, you have been elected President. Now, it is up to you to push your morals and values upon hundreds of millions of people. What will be the fate of the United States of America?

Create laws, grant and revoke freedoms, become corrupt, and yell at your enemies on Twitter. Oh yeah, and play lots of golf, because what else could a President have to do?

How long can you stay in power?

Note: This game is satire, and is not necessarily 100% factually accurate.

Awful and biased

It’s clearly made by someone who has no clue about American politics.
The main point is to keep the House of Reps happy to pass laws but that’s not how it works. You can Executive Order and have the SCOTUS uphold it

Decisions boil down to “Good Democrat Choice” or “Evil Republican Choice” so it’s clearly biased too

Developer Response ,

Not quite.

First of all, the main point isn’t to pass laws, it’s to remain in power. Passing laws can sometimes make that possible.

Second, this is a simple game, and it would be impossible to make a game that includes every single aspect of American politics, while also remaining simple enough for the casual player.

Third, while it is true that many decisions that will please the Republicans will also upset the population or international community, many of the in-game reactions are based on real-life reactions. Additionally, if you haven’t noticed, many decisions that please the Republicans also give you money, as they are, in theory, fiscally conservative, while choosing to make only decisions that please the Democrats will cause you to run out of money.

Finally, while there are many jokes in-game about the current presidency, this should be expected, considering it is the *current* presidency, and is one that has been very controversial. However, the game also includes jokes and references to past administrations.

Thanks for playing.

You lose too much and the options your given are more of issues that recently took place., it does not give you more logical or people based questions. Its more aligned with what republicans have done in the most recent years

Developer Response ,

I’m sorry you find the game too difficult, but that is actually by design, in order to give a challenge to each player. Also, Impeached is a satirical politics-based game, so it should be expected for many scenarios to be based in reality. Finally, the scenarios are “logical” and “people-based”, in the sense that you are able to deduce the effects of each decision by reading it and imagining what its effects could be, and that many decision effects are based on real-life reactions from many real Americans.

Quick Suggestion

Great game, keep it up Justin. One slight suggestion is maybe make the tutorial more informative for those who aren’t politics savvy, I had to look up a few things myself. Thanks!

Developer Response ,

That's a fantastic idea! I'm planning to add one in a future update, so look out for that!

Edit: the latest version now includes a much better tutorial, thanks for the suggestion!
