It works, but lacks polish

The interface for adjusting colors, and changing fonts needs improvement. The program is very easy to use once you figure it out. You can add a photo as a watermark (and adjust its transparency), or you can add text of any color or font. Unfortunately picking a font is difficult. It would be ideal if you could see your text in each font available, but you cannot. I find myself opening Font Book to look at fonts because of this limitation. The application does exactly what it's advertised to do. However it still has other limitations: You cannot open a picture into the app, you have to open the app, and drag a picture into it. You cannot adjust the export folder (it always exports to desktop). There are no Preferences. You can only save presets one image at a time. I like to make "collage style" watermarks, and I want to save them to put onto different backgrounds. I have to save each watermark separately as a preset. This is cumbersome, and makes repeating multiple watermarks over multiple images very difficult. This app is definitely not for someone who wants to do a lot of watermarking. if you just want to "caption" some photos here or there, this will probably work well for you.

Great for © watermarking!

I needed to put a © watermark on literally thousands of photos, and it worked great. Simply finish all of your editing in whatever program you use, drag the photos (in a large group, not individually) into Impression, and add your watermark ONCE to the first photo, positioning it where you want it (lower right). The photos will be listed as 1 of 850 or whatever, with arrows to page through them all. It will put the same watermark on all of the photos in the same place. Then you "export" them back into your program of choice with one click for all of the photos. It's easy!!! I recommend it!

Please don't waste your money

This product was a complete waste of both money and time. First you cannot apply the watermark directly in iPhoto or Aperture: you have to export all your images to Impression, create or import a new watermark and then re-export the images into the native application. It takes forever.
Second, the controls are a crapshoot: sometimes the little box where you can size the font works, sometimes it doesn't. The application crashes all the time and the photos come out cut off and sometimes with a duplicate watermark.
You can save presets but then you can not apply them to a new batch of pictures. Then what's the point of saving them?
All in all, I don't even want to bother asking for my money back but do yourself a favor and save yours.
