Description

Your email inbox should help you live and work better, but instead it often buries the important stuff and creates more stress than it relieves. Inbox, built by the Gmail team, keeps things organized and helps you get back to what matters.

• HIGHLIGHTS - Get the most important information without even opening the message. Check-in for flights, see shipping information for purchases, and view photos from friends right up front.

• BUNDLES - Similar messages are bundled together so you can deal with them all at once. And get rid of them with one swipe.

• REMINDERS - More than mail, you can add Reminders so your inbox contains all the things you need to get back to.

• SNOOZE - Snooze emails and Reminders to come back when you are ready to deal with them: next week, when you get home, or whenever you choose.

• SEARCH - Inbox helps you find exactly what you’re looking for— from your upcoming flight to a friend's address— without having to dig through messages.

• WORKS WITH GMAIL - Inbox is built by the Gmail team, so all your messages from Gmail are here, along with the reliability and spam protection of Gmail. All of your messages are still in Gmail and always will be.

Needs badge customization

I really like the workflow although it did take a few days to get used to it. However, I can't imagine going back to the default Mail app on my phone. I

Inbox's incredible strength comes from its sorting abilities and user interface. It's ability to group similar emails (while all remaining visible in the inbox) is huge!

It could use a few more features so I'm giving it 4 stars, but it's very well done! I would like more flexibility on when to show a 'new' badge on unread email in bundles. Creating custom bundles is great but there needs to be more flexibility for badge notifications. Signatures needs work too--they are only inserted after sending the email. Overall, Google has done a really nice job on improving the way we sort and read email.

Professional Tool

Before using Google Inbox, I had four different email accounts, none of which I particularly liked. Unfortunately, my schedule and lifestyle dictated that I use each email account everyday. I saw my friend using Google Inbox one day and he recommended that I download it. I promptly rerouted all of my email to my Google account and downloaded this app. It has made a world of a difference!

The app is streamlined and intuitive, making the process of checking your inbox considerably easier. The option to bundle and snooze your emails are particularly helpful! Adding an email account is also easy. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a busy lifestyle and multiple email accounts. It is by far the best app for your emails.

It's slick and fun, but still needs some work

I'm a huge Google nerd, so I want this took succeed. But there are several things that need to be added or addressed:
- do away with email threading. I've often "lost" email threads when I delete one after replying. I assume, incorrectly, that the person I wrote will send me an email back. But if you delete the"thread" you may never see it.
- allow me to use the delete key when reviewing email on a PC browser
- if I get incorrectly marked spam I can't mark it as safe and get the hyperlinks back. That makes the incoming message useless to me if you're system makes a bad guess. The "pin to inbox" doesn't do this; it just moves it
- I LOVE the snooze option. I wish real Outlook had this!
