Ingress transforms the real world into the landscape for a global game of mystery, intrigue, and competition.
Our future is at stake. You must choose a side.
A mysterious energy has been unearthed by a team of scientists in Europe. The origin and purpose of this force is unknown, but some researchers believe it is influencing the way we think. We must control it or it will control us.
“The Enlightened” seek to embrace the power that this energy may bestow upon us. “The Resistance” struggle to defend, and protect what’s left of our humanity.
Install Ingress and transform your world.
The World is the Game
Move through the real world using your iOS device and the Ingress app to discover and tap sources of this mysterious energy. Acquire objects to aid in your quest, deploy tech to capture territory, and ally with other players to advance the cause of the Enlightened or the Resistance.
The struggle is being played out globally. Track the progress of players around the world, plan your next steps, and communicate with others using an Intelligence map.
The struggle to save the planet spans the entire world. Groups of people acting together can be more effective than individuals acting alone. Cooperation across neighborhoods, cities, and countries will be needed to achieve the ultimate victory.

Fun, but cheating rampant...
Game is fun once you figure out what you need to do and hook up with your fellow agents. However, cheating is rampant in the game. Players (on both sides) spoof their location to say they are at places they aren't to take over portals or take them out to create fields. Portals in the middle of no where that get fielded. Portals in locations only accessible by one or two people (behind guard houses, gates, etc). Portals that can't be accessed at all (inside restricted building or private land). Really no defense in this game. If someone wants your portal, they will take it. No real way to defend other than recharging. Overall, when the game is humming along (people playing together and no cheating happening), it's fantastic. Lots of fun.
Great, Fun, App!
Ingress is a great game. By using your device's location, the app shows public portals created by users. It is a very fun in the fact that there are players and portals everywhere. The are around 20 about 1 mile around me. Therefore, I can meet up with friends and capture. There are so many supportive players, and so many great websites. To me, it is fascinating how so many people are so involved and travel around the world for events. If you are actually reading reviews, and play, thank you. Have a great rest of your day. :) 😄👍🍭
Good game bad if u can't use data
I rated this 5 star so ppl could see this. U have to walk around in real life. I'm fine with that. It's a pretty cool game but it doesn't work if u don't have data turned on or if u have wifi. I can't use data. I still have the game and like to check up on it but in next update I would like to have the option to walk in game around but not in real life. PLZ TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION. Thank you.
