Ink On - Track your writing
By Inked Voices
This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.
Ink On is your writing companion to stay motivated, accountable and consistent with your writing. Track writing on your own terms. Whether you are a writer tackling multiple projects concurrently, pursuing a writing challenge like NaNoWriMo, or establishing your writing practice, Ink On can help. Sprint, time yourself or log sessions manually in this writing app. Set calendar-based and project-based writing goals. Ink On shows your progress, all the way to done.

Ink On is brought to you by Inked Voices. It was created for the writer who wants to complete projects and get consistent with their writing practice, including NaNoWriMo participants, dissertation writers, novelists, poets, and freelance writers. I hope it will be beneficial to your writing practice and process.

What's New in Version 2.0
•We added a sprint timer for our many writers who use the pomodoro technique to get writing.
•From here on, you have visibility to your writing session details. You'll see the date, time, project, word count and any notes. Log writing sessions and view, edit, or delete from the calendar.
•Sometimes writing means noodling or editing. Now you can categorize your writing time as brainstorming, writing or revision.
•Several bugs were fixed, particularly in the stats area.
•We redesigned much of the user interface. It's simpler and prettier. :)
•We added a completely optional patronage in-app purchase. This allows a means of support for Ink On's continued development. And you get a cute lil' heart on your settings page.
Thank you to the writers who shared feedback since our last release, reviewed the designs, and tested the beta builds. I read your emails and took your comments into this release. Special thanks to Zoe, Netta, Sheryl and Matt for going above and beyond.

2.0 is Great!
Ink On 2.0 has a cleaner, more efficient appearance while adding new features that make it more flexible to accommodate the needs of different kinds of writers. I'm more concerned with tracking time than word count and the enhanced timers in 2.0 is perfect for me. The goals, stats and calendar features let me see how productive and consistent I've been, which keeps me motivated. Ink On is STILL the best tracking app for writers that I have found. Also, support from the developer is second to none.
Update will corrupt/delete your data
The other review is a plant. The update will corrupt your data, and an attempt to restore said data in order to salvage months of entries will just delete what you have.
"Restore from server" is an option whether or not you've backed up your data to their servers. Selecting said option will delete your now-corrupted local data (not that it makes a difference as your data's now useless anyway).
If you're ok with the following two options feel free to download:
1. Save your data locally and hope an update won't destroy it
2. Backup your data to their servers and hope that a backend update won't destroy it.
Addendum: Some tracking apps allow you to email yourself your data as a .csv file. As the data-security of this app is hazy, I'd recommend they add such a feature to make it useable.
This is the only writers’ app I could find that allows me to see at a glance whether I’ve made progress on my WIP on a daily basis. It’s motivational to mark off each day on a calendar, whether I’m planning, writing or revising. Helps me stay connected to the novel even when life gets in the way.
