Description

News means reading widely, discussing what matters, and sharing what you learn. Inkfold lets you do all three.

Browse through sections, add your favorite sites, and follow others to see what matters to them. Scan for breadth or dig in for depth. Every article counts.

When an article brings someone to mind, share it with them. Direct messaging makes the news more personal, while group messaging is a comfortable environment for developing an opinion.

Share what you learn with your followers. Your insights spark their curiosities, and the news cycle continues.

Inkfold is an experience that starts with a headline and ends around the table.

Please enjoy.

*Beta: If you already share links via email, try Lost Links, and never lose a good read in a sea of emails again.

What's New in Version 4.0

Identity: Define yourself by what you read. Let others see your favorite articles so they know what you're into. Discover new sites by following your friends. Inkfold encourages quality and rewards quantity. See how you rank relative to those you follow.

Sharing: Inkfold is a social newspaper. Develop a following by developing your opinion. Public posts are visible to the world, but feedback is private. It's up to you what feedback to post, if any.

Messaging: The heart of news is discussion, and so discussion is at the heart of Inkfold's design. Send a link via direct or group messaging, and find out when your friends read the article you sent them. Discuss privately in-app, or bring it up when you see them in real life. Messaging is a conversation starter.

*Beta: Lost Links are all the great articles that friends send to your email which don't get read. Connect your Gmail and discover great articles your friends are already sending you.

So much News, so little effort!

Whether sitting waiting for SFMuni to be on time, haha i know, standing in line at the DMV, or laying in bed on those restless nights I am constantly looking for ways to keep busy. Reading the news is definitely one of my go to's.

Maybe im looking at apps for Engadget, NY Times, CNN, Yahoo Sports or whatever other news app there is out there. The bottom line is they are all only as good as their stories. Then when i want to switch gears, it's close it down and move on to the next app, then the next...

INKFOLD, does what needs to be done and pulls information from everywhere and brings you the news from Sports to Tech to everywhere in between all on one easy to use and plain good looking platform. With the new version, adding in the social aspect and the seemless ability to comment and share with your friends within the app and to other large platform networks makes this update KILLER!!

Bravo Inkfold! You have made my favorite news app way better!!!

Once they add a search function ( my hope) within to locate specific pieces you may want quick access to, it will be even better!

A news app for news junkies

One of the joys of keeping up with the news is discussing and arguing about it with friends. I love that this app puts this social aspect of news at its core. It's super easy to send articles along to others and tag things with comments. It also does a good job of presenting me with news I actually care about, which is more than can be said for a lot of other news apps out there...

news app for couples?

My husband and I are always looking for a better app to let us read together when we’re apart. I know it does other things, but we just like to chat about articles, and it’s perfect for that. My one suggestion is more topics. The app goes through news so fast, I want more of it.
