Unauthorized Charges! Pls Read!!
I normally don't review apps but here I feel I must. I purchased two cards and did them same day one right after the other as I did not see a way to purchase more than one at a time. My bank froze my card (BOA) because they wanted me to verify the (4) charges that was made (Inkly). So I spoke with them and they found 4 separate charges by Inkly. Now two of the four I did, for the two cards I purchased. What's odd is there is two other charges made on my card by Inkly that I did not authorize. Now this rating I gave and me being upset isn't for the amount they charged but it's the principle. We use our bank/credit cards on the App Store, also use them in some apps to buy things (such as I did Inkly) and hope they have a system that is secure and runs without issue if at all possible. Yes things happen I know but when I contacted Inkly and asked about these charges they told me "We have never seen this before. We will investigate this right away as you should not have been charged these amounts." Today a full working day has passed (Monday) contacted them on this Sunday which I know they can't do much. While the two small charges were in "Processing" it stated "International Transaction Fee". Say "What?" Today they both Cleared which means they were deducted from my account. I contacted my bank and they suggested that authorizing them for the purchases I MADE is one thing but for them to run/charge your account the two small transactions WITHOUT your consent is illegal. I may want to seek some Legal Representation. I made contact with them today at the end of day asking for a follow up but got "Apologies for the delay. I have forwarded all the information to our payments team. They are investigating this as priority. I will let you know as soon as I have heard back from them" I am more upset about my card getting charged without my consent first off. Secondly has my card been compromised???? Will I have to go through the trouble of canceling my card and reissue bc of Inkly???? People be careful using Inkly!!! If they have never seen such a issue and don't know why then it's best to stay away!! Now that I am thinking about it why don't they use your card through apple like most apps do? Instead of putting your card info into the app itself to get your products? My bank has put my account on watch and will call me direct for any other charges come up that look suspicious.
Inkly, I don't know what's going on here and I honestly think you don't either. Being this is "something you've never seen" don't you worry about your "OTHER" customers that it could happen again??? I don't have the words and I hope to visit a council tomorrow to see what can be done being one full business day has passed and nothing has changed but both charges went from "Processing" to "CLEARED". One way or another we will talk soon!
