Ratings and Reviews
Quick, easy, and efficient in most cases
Sure, you could accomplish the same thing using other applications, and not necessarily the well-known and very expensive ones, either. But if you frequently feel the need to edit some detail or other out of your images and want to do so quickly and without having to fiddle with (or requiring) more precise tools, Inpaint gets the job done—most of the time. There are some scenarios (depending on various factors involving particular colors and backgrounds) where Inpaint’s edits remain painfully visible, especially if you know where to look. For those relatively little details, however—say, a plastic trash bag marring your otherwise perfect beach shot—it’s usually quite reliable.
Great! with a few rough edges
(V 6.2 downloaded this morning) I’m pretty picky in my ratings, and giving it 4 stars makes it a very good piece of software in my estimation. It worked easily right off the bat, although for a totally new user it would be nice to point to some tutorials. These are there, but you have to hunt for them. It is a LOT easier to use than Photoshop, and with almost no effort produced what I could get after a lot of work with Photoshop. Dropping the marker size to its minimum (showed “1” presumably pixel) led to a program crash that needs to be fixed, also I trust that future updates will provide graceful recoveries with autosave features.
Bottom line: for the price… unbeatable!
I use Photoshop, but this is awesome
I use Photoshop for most of my editing, but this really does an excellent job at what it does. Even with a busy background, I can remove an item. I just removed 6 trees out of a scene and you wouldn’t be able to tell that the picture had been doctored. I even had a picture of my son at the tennis court on a cloudy day. There were power lines everywhere as they were close to a power substation. I removed a second court and all of the power lines and it made the clouds and the grass look as natural as could be. Excellent programming!
