Inspiraled is like a beautiful abstract sea creature living just beneath the surface of the screen - it responds to your gestures, it drifts in the current, and scintillating bubbles drift upwards from its curving fronds.

Like a crinoid or a sea-star, Inspiraled exhibits complex self-similarity and gorgeous soothing motion. It's like a gentle alien creature that is soothing to watch and fascinating to interact with.

For maximum performance, Inspiraled is written in native Objective-C, combining a powerful custom C-based particle system with direct use of the fixed-function OpenGL pipeline.

A glimmer of potential, but instead, ZZZZzzzzzz.......

I was given the outlandish impression that this was going to be FRACTAL HEAVEN!....ok, maybe at least a beginner's guide to Fractals?...zztt! Nerrrn!
OK, You see the 5 pictures that the developer put in this app's "Details"?
THERE! You've saved yourself the time and energy of installing it, getting disappointed...and THEN IRRITATED that you went through yet another "app letdown" as you are watching your little desktop icons wiggle at you while you are deleting it...
Because THOSE are the FIVE and ONLY FIVE designs that will ever be on your screen, (with brief animation-changing from one design to the next.) As you drag your fingers across the screen it's apparently supposed to give you the impression that you've just CREATED something...
Nope! NOTHING! Zilch! Zip! NADA! Nix! Nary! Nerrn! GooseEgg! Zero! Nil! NAUGHT!!!
EVEN MY FIRST GRADER put my iPad back down on the table after MAYYYYYbe
90 seconds...then came his poetic words: "Is that it? I hope you didn't pay for that."
Seriously, I've had toys in the bottom of my Apple Jacks that were a LOT more entertaining! (Those were MY words, not my 5yr old's, btw.)
But HEY! Y O U might like it! Everyone has different definitions for "satisfaction", "entertainment", and "Hey! Look what I just skillfully created all by myself!"

Brilliant, but...

Minus one star because the bubbles are distractingly cartoonish on an otherwise gorgeous and graceful organic display. I wish the developer had realized that and left perfection perfect or made the bubbles an optional setting. I don't even mind that the pinch gesture seems to be broken.

Is there a way to make this into the "wallpaper"?

I love how the shapes change in unexpected ways. Is there a way to make this into the wallpaper?
