We're thrilled to introduce a redesigned Explore tab in the US, featuring several major updates:

- Trending tags and places: Dynamically updated content gives you a real-time look at what's happening nearby—and all over the world.

- Curated collections: Explore a rotating selection of people and places—like extreme athletes or national parks—hand-picked by Instagram.

- Places search: Now that you can search by location, it's easy to explore an exotic vacation destination or see what's happening in your neighborhood.

While the redesigned Explore tab is currently only available in the US, we've also improved search for everyone else. You can now:

Instagram is love

Like love Instagram has many things we tend to enjoy about it you get the sensation of making it your own and if you put time into your account like any good relationship it will grow and change in many ways over the years and can really resemble your inner thoughts great moments I do enjoy posting real photos of myself for Instagram and I think that's more or less what you guys intended Instagram to be... It's starting to pick up a lot of steam though with popular fandoms and people are making dedicated blogs to fandoms and shows and that's great and I really think Instagram will go far with that. Except there's one problem for a lot of people who don't have the time to go on there computer and upload gifs by turning them into movies then downloading them to there phone then uploading them that's a really big hassle. I think Instagram would be an even more wonderus place if we could just simply upload gifs from our phone. Im only asking that you give us or at least consider this 1 feature in Instagram I know it may be stressful on the servers a big update like that but just having the ability to upload gifs would be so amazing and I don't think it'd be to hard to manage. But yeah other then that Instagram is my go to social media app and has so many great people on it if you haven't made gotten the app and or made an account I can assure you your missing out!

It's changed my life

I think it's easy to get cynical in the age of social media about the impact some of these apps services can have on our lives... For me, it's re-kindled a love for photography, for sharing and looking at how others see. I actually look at the world differently and want to shoot and share. It's still bends my brain that I have a window into the lives of surfers, artists, cyclists, climbers, style-makers (and on and on) and people in Thailand, Iceland, Brazil... It's truly amazing. I hate the commercialization of it - that Instagram is just another channel for companies to peddle... But hey, you get to tailor what you see almost completely, so you make your own choices about that. And it's like any social media - people tend to post the happy, shiny parts of their lives, and the vacations and such. I live that I can mix my friends and acquaintances along with people I don't know into my feed, and I've made connections with people through mutual interests and admiration. I'm obsessed with it, and I put it down for days at a time. I'm sure this has all been said before but it's just wonderful. What will we all be doing in 5 years? Will there be some other app? Who knows? This is great and it's now. I've been a member since Jan 2013.

Photo Creds

I have had this idea forever & am finally sharing it. I think that adding a 'photo creds' feature would be a widely popular addition. Many people have begun shouting out whoever takes a photo that they post. I think you should be able to tag that person somehow in the photo, in a separate portion of the post strictly for the photo taker. This not only allows a user to give props to a candid snapped by a friend, but can also boost a photographer's business by "advertising" who took it. Then, the comment can be strictly about the picture & not cluttered by whom the photo was taken. When creating a post, one of the options (similar to where the photo was taken or who is in the photo) can be 'Who took this photo?' Or 'Photo Creds:'. Then, like viewing someone's tagged photos on their profile page, you can also tap and see which photos a user has taken. Again, this boosts photographers' pages as well as regular users by adding another level of sharing, for which Instagram is so popular.
