Instagram is a simple way to capture and share the world’s moments. Follow your friends and family to see what they’re up to, and discover accounts from all over the world that are sharing things you love. Join the community of over 500 million people and express yourself by sharing all the moments of your day––the highlights and everything in between, too.
Use Instagram to:
• Post photos and videos you want to keep on your profile grid. Edit them with filters and creative tools, and combine multiple clips into one video.
• Share multiple photos and videos (as many as you want!) to your story. Bring them to life with text and drawing tools. They disappear after 24 hours and won't appear on your profile grid or in feed.
• Watch stories from the people you follow in a bar at the top of your feed. View them at your own pace.
• Discover photos and videos you might like and follow new accounts in the Explore tab.
• Send private messages, photos, videos and posts from your feed directly to friends with Instagram Direct.
• Instantly share your posts to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and other social networks.
• Use Handoff to switch between your Apple Watch and your iPhone.

My hatred for Instagram is unfathomable
When this app first came out it was great. I started my most popular account, bees420, (im currently bees421) a little over one year ago. When I started it, I made it a joke, however throughout the life of that account, as I gained more followers, I started taking it seriously. I could communicate with people around the world that I had never met. I made friends with people from many different countries, and bonded with thousands of people. A few days ago, I reached 17,000 followers, the most I have ever gotten on any account. Later that day, when I went to post a picture, I received an error that I had been logged out. When I tried to log back in, I received the message that I had been disabled for being against the community guidelines. I wanted to know specifically what I did wrong, and learned that I was apparently "glorifying self harm", which is completely false. I made a new account to try to get my followers back, and through the help of my friends I gained about 600 followers, but the other 16,400 people have no idea where I went. When I saw what had happened I was shaking for 20 minutes, and I wanted to die. Instagram deleted my successful account for no reason, and later I learned that they were deleting other accounts unfairly as well. Instagram has been corrupted and is no longer a good app.
Getting worse and worse
Too many things are changing on instagram, and not for the better. For one, the order of posts on your feed is not chronological. Then there is the whole tagging issue, but what I am most upset at is the explore page (I'm not sure if it's just my issue or other people have this problem as well) I used to have an explore feed of things I liked, similar posts and people I follow. Then, seemingly overnight, my explore feed is filled with popular mundane celebrities, shoes, cars, and stupid pointless memes. I never follow or like anything like these posts or accounts and I don't understand why it changed. Every time I get on instagram, I have to choose the "see fewer posts like this" option to every single photo that pops up, but it never works. I still get the same posts and accounts popping up every single day. This has been going on for about a month now and it is very frustrating considering what it used to be. And when I try to look in the help center, a page pops up saying I am blocked from using this feature because I am misusing it. How do you misuse looking for an answer? I can't even get to one answer without that page popping up. Please fix this instagram. I used to love this app, now it's just frustrating and never appealing.
I will give some credit to this app - I do love it, and its one of my most used forms of social media, but the things that bug me and everyone else needs to be acknowledged as well.
The first annoying issue is how bad Instagram is at responding to reports. The time in which it takes them to delete a photo or an account, or even notify the person what they did was against the rules is absurd.
Also, on the whole 'glorifying self harm' rule, I don't think it should be a reason someone gets in trouble for. Glorifying it is usually what people do to cope with what they did. It they pressure or encourage others to self harm then THAT is what you should care about. But again, instagram doesn't care because it takes forever to get back to you or look at whats important.
I also CANNOT stand that the home page timeline is not in order of what was posted, I feel like it defeats the purpose of the whole app in a way. I don't want to see for three days straight one picture, I want to see what the last thing they posted was without having to go to the 100+ accounts I follow. Its led me to stop using Instagram more and more and slowly hate it over time.
