Lacking, somewhat confusing & dysfunctional
While the app has a decent amount of info I found some of the explanations confusing which would muddy my understanding of the material; I found myself referencing my old physiology book to sort out my newly gained confusion.
Also, the movie button doesn't actually play a movie. You get a pretty picture of the various rhythms but no functional movie. You could argue that the images are enough but since the developer promised videos they should be accessible.
I only paid $0.99 for this so I'm not leaving a horrible review, I'm just going to say that you get what you pay for: a $0.99 medical reference app. This isn't bad, but it's not good or great either.
Has everything I need, except...
I love this app! Buy it! But I hope they will add a picture of where the electrodes are placed on the patient and keep it in the reference section. That way we can compare it to the axis while we are reading about the leads. The picture should be labeled and in color, and it would be even more helpful if it was a photo of an real person. I think it would also be nice to have a labeled picture of the waveforms and intervals (so we can see exactly where to put the calipers when measuring PR or QT interval, etc). Thanks for a great tool =)
Good, but not great
The user interface is absolutely beautiful! My problem with it is that it's just too limited in the rhythms it has to offer (e.g. no SVT). I would say it's worth a dollar or two, and I'd even splurge for $3, but the fact that this is a sale?
I recommend ECG guide. It doesn't have as beautiful an interface as Instant ECG, but the content is much richer. ECG interpret is also a good one with a nice interface and good content.
