This release addresses a problem where the Insteon+ app would crash in certain circumstances. The issue was related to setting schedules. Because the Apple Home app provides more flexible scheduling options, we now ask that if you have any schedules to create or modify, that you do so within the Apple Home app. This also means that we will only support devices on iOS 10+.
Important highlights from this release:
1. Fixed an issue where the Insteon+ app would crash
2. Removed the management of schedules in favor of using the Apple Home app scheduler
3. Dropped support for iOS 9

Time to Leave Insteon
I’ve been cultivating Insteon devices in my home automation setup for more than 12 years. While the Insteon ecosystem has advantages and disadvantages, I never found anything that better suited my needs.
I purchased the Insteon HomeKit Hub and installed this app to move my devices over to HomeKit. The app provides no ability to update the hub or device firmware, no ability to adjust the device settings (such as ramp rate), and has no ability to delete devices from the hub. Devices appear as the wrong type in HomeKit (a non-dimmable device appears as dimmable), and dimming devices turn on to the previous dim level (not the dim level specified in the HomeKit scene).
While customer support answered the phone quickly, the agent clearly was working to get me off the phone just as quickly. He had me walk through some steps that I’d already tried. And when I responded to his follow up email stating the fix didn’t work, I never heard back.
Awful...won’t even work with its own products
I have the Insteon Hub Pro (HomeKit capable) and exclusively Insteon products. Insteon+ app is pretty much useless. Won’t find devices when searching for them, the app can’t modify light ramp rates, and the 2nd generation motion detector won’t work at all with the app so you are stuck with the default sensor timeout settings. The fact that you can’t fully use your own products with your own app is deplorable. I’m not even going to go into the fact that you can’t setup ANY schedules or automation without an Apple HomePod, Apple TV, or latest generation iPad with the Hub Pro.....
Slow to update, ugly U.I.
If you’re looking for a home automation system you may want to look elsewhere. Insteon and HomeKit do not play well together. It took them almost two years to do an update on the app. It’s been a year since the last update. It looks like it’s 5 years old as it doesn’t even match the correct iPhone resolutions. My guess is they’re phasing out HomeKit automation. Any Insteon devices on your Apple “Home” app do not show correct state. Constantly says “no response”. Contacted customer service they blame Apple. All other HomeKit hubs don’t seem to have this problem.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
