Phenomenal Game! Must Play!
Gameplay is quite challenging but entirely fair, it's always your fault if you die, so learn from your mistakes. The retro look and sound aren't just there for nostalgia, they also manage to create an incredibly atmospheric experience. IAP isn't intrusive, you can experience 100% of the game for free and without watching a single ad if you're patient (power up timers) and you are hunting for coins from start to finish. The polish and care that was put into this game are inspiring. Can't wait to see where this franchise will go! :D
PS - Swiping left and right on the level icon above the dungeon door will allow you to select previous levels if you're using Continue, just make a mental note of the last level you completed. :)
Amazing Game +No Ads :D
This is one of the best games I've found in the App Store. It took me a little while to understand but now that I do it's super fun. The little dots underneath your health represent your moves. Shooting your gun, moving, and punching all use up a move. When you run out of moves your turn ends. The little button in the corner ends your turn early. Once your turn is over enemies can make their move. Different enemies have different amounts of health and moves. The game also has some pretty difficult puzzles that remind me of The Legend of Zelda. There are no pop up ads, and in app purchases don't give you too many coins. The game is free to play, but unlike most apps it isn't pay to win. I would definitely recommend this game.
Really fun, but a couple of bugs...
I love this game. You really do have to think about every move. The reviewers who complain about having to watch a video to continue are missing the point--you're not really supposed to continue! It's a roguelike. You're supposed to be able to clear each level in one life.
The bug others have mentioned that causes the final boss to be unlocked after completing the first couple of levels happened to me, too. Before you step through the door you can scroll back to select the correct level, though. It's more of an annoyance than a game-breaker.
Additionally, the game crashes a lot for me on my iPhone 7 Plus.
