Its a mystery to me
Still not sure how I got it going, but it NAS now flawlessly backs up my pics/contacts on iphone 5; and does time machine backups of my macbook air. Fooled around with settings and such for 45 mins... The key might have been unhooking the iomega nas from airport extreme that allowed it to show up on Time Machine preferences??????
I am puzzled why Iomega would endorse such a poor app.
-It only connects while I am on my home wi-fi, and will not work when from elsewhere.
-Displays only file names, in a strange order. Impossible to play or even search for a folder/album/artist, etc.
-Search only works with file names, and will only match the string from the beginning of the file name, not in the middle.
Bottom line: I find this totally useless as it won't allow you to listen to your tracks away from home, and even at home you can't really make selections, to say nothing about using your playlists.
Everything works well except the Media section on a Mini
The app feels unrefined, but it technically works well to view files on the NAS.
It crashes when I hit the Media section, but I don't think I care about that function.
