iPhemeris Astrology 4+

i use this application about fifty times a day - for both the iphone and my MacBook. the interface is super clear, the options are flexible (orbs, plantes to show or asteroids to not show), and all of my charts transfer from the mac to my phone (and vise versa) with seamless integration. the sky now view is my lifeline, and the daily aspects chart is so gangster in my mundane astrology practice. i mean, i always get more out of looking at the wheel, but as a shortcut for like looking ahead for months, this feature is rad. i adore iphemeris. i’ve had it for about two years, and with updates it only gets better. you should totally get it. (ps: totally not-sponsored and don’t know the developer. just a happy user). thanks iphemeris.

** edit, third year review: it’s the price point that really keeps this app in the game. it’s got everything you really need to keep your finger on the pulse of the heavenly movements, but it doens’t have a couple of things you wish it did - like dignities, faces, terms and planetary scores or the filter flexability of of astro-gold. although, as a practicing astrologer one is better off learning these things, it would be cool if the dignities, terms faces and planetary hour were included. i have grown to really appreciate having these in my practice...

1) Dignities have been included in iPhemeris reports for several years, see the table at the bottom of the points reports. 2) Decanates have also been included on the wheel for several years, it's a chart wheel display style. Turn them on.

iPhemeris is a wonderful astrology application. Given the competition, I really believe this is a brilliant companion for any student or professional astrologer. Lots of tools and functionalities that are exceptional, and the charts are composed exceptionally well. I genuinely believe iPhemeris produces the most strikingly beautiful horoscopes compared to other astrology software, and you honestly cannot beat the price point.

With that said, there are always more features that could be added that I hope will come to fruition in later versions, and if that involves an extra in-app purchase, I'm all for it. Some features I'd personally love to see are: Lunar phases listed for charts, Aspect patterns/shapes listed for charts, Toggle on/off for aspect angles without having to change/delete the orb for an angle, the ablitiy to export charts electronically on Mac without having to print or use the iPhone versoin, and when printing/exporting a chart, combining the aspect grid and points (elements, modalities, dignities) with the horoscope on the same page OR making the grid, aspects, points, midpoints use only one page. (If there's a way to make this happen that I'm not aware of, I'd love to know it.)

A big shout out to the developer of iPhemeris for creating such a beautiful and user-friendly application! I look forward to seeing later iterations.

Thanks for the review, we are inclined to agree :) For complicated requests it is best to send email so that we can ask questions when we are not clear about something. I really like iPhemeris. It covers the vast majority of my needs, and I have a stack of books on my desk to cover many of the others. I've bought all the available extras, as well, because this suits my needs as an intermediate astrologer who is gradually going professional.

Features I like a lot:
- the built-in Ephemeris, and the graphic ephemeris (costs extra).
- The ability to compare three charts simultaneously, either side-by-side (max 2 charts) or nexted (2 charts now, to look at transits).
- the ability to store charts that work on my phone.
- the ability to track transits over different time scales (minute, 10 minutes, hour, day, 7 days, month, year)
- the choice of house system
- the ability to turn various planets on and off
- the ability to adjust orb sizes.
- handles up to three charts simultaneously
- great database for storing charts
- built-in notes feature for storing info about consultations.

Features I would like in future versions:
- buttons to turn on/off for Moon Mansions, Decans, 12th parts of Zodiac signs, and Bounds/Terms (Egyptian, Ptolemaic, Egyptian)
- Automatic calculation of Hygromanteia Moon-Day number
- Automatic calculation on "Sky Now" chart of Astrological Hour
- The ability to set phone alarms for specific times for electional astrology
- A way to enter horary chart question and time
- A field in the chart database for including birth time data quality rating (AAA, AA, A, B, C, D) and a source.

Buttons DO exist to do what you are asking about. See the wheel style settings (gear thingy in menu bar above charts) to on/off decanates. Bounds Are also there, including Egyptian and Ptolemaic. And you can tag charts anyway you like, including aaa, aa, etc. Email support with this type of stuff or to ask questions. Thanks.
