Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Netflix API was down on June 9th (hence the negative reviews for that date). Their service is back up now.
With iPhlix HD, you can:
-Tap play link to watch titles in the Netflix iPad application (gets you watching your Instant queue faster than the Netflix app alone)
-Add, Delete and Reorder items in your Instant and Disc Queues
-View hi-res cover art from the details view
-Manage multiple profiles and accounts (just sign in to the right account or profile on the Netflix linking page)
-Search for similar titles from any title
-Share movie recommendations with friends
-Search for Actors, Directors, Movies (can also filter by Blu-ray or Instant)
-View web page or filmography for most actors and directors
-Get right to where you want to be right away by choosing your own start tab (e.g. Search, Instant Queue, Disc Queue, etc.)
-Swipe a title in "For You" to indicate you're not interested (Delete from recommendations)
-Option to load queue in segments (25, 50, or 100, or Off)
Special thanks to Alex Marchuk for help with the graphics.
Have you ever been out with friends and everyone's quoting that great movie that everyone seems to have seen but you?
Or what about when you’re on the go, and you hear an ad for the DVD release of that one film you never got around to seeing in theaters?
With iPhlix HD, managing your Netflix queue from anywhere is easier than ever. Add, remove, and reorder movies with a few easy flicks of a finger. Rate movies you’ve seen recently, see ratings and descriptions for all the Netflix “top” lists, or search for a particular title before popping it up to the top of your queue.
Requires a Netflix account.
I just installed this app on my iPad 2 and, so far, no problems with it. I had a previous good experience with the iPhone 4 version and perhaps that's why I've had no problems with this. Much easier to add/delete in my ques and I enjoy artwork and other details not readily available in the native app. Links are perfect and playback start is very good. No problem recommending this app.
There seems to be a problem
I, like a lot of other reviewers had used the iPhone app on both my phone and iPad. I loved it.
Also, like many others, I have the problem with the redirection after it verifies my sign on. It continues to show the revolving circle for as long as I want to entertained by watching it.
I sent a note to the developer and threatened to post a response like this if I didn't at least get an acknowledgment of receipt. Nothing. Nada. Zip.
Right now I think he's got a sweet deal. Put out a good ad, sell the app, and then walk away. No refunds, no contact, no fix.
I wonder what the legal recourse is. Any ideas from any legal beagle out there?
Keep coming back to iPhlix
I have been an iPhone iPhlix user for a while and was glad when the iPad version was released. I have tried other apps but find that iPhlix is the easiest to maneuver. I haven't had any issues with it. The only feature I wish it had was the ability to search my queue so I can found out where things are in it.
