iRecycle
iRecycle can be pretty much be considered to be the ultimate recycle application. It has a comprehensive database of recycle materials to select and check to see whether they can be disposed of. Not only does the app have many categories listed to search in but also a search box for items you want to recycle that may not be listed. It is easy to search recycle materials with the colorful tile menu display as it has a listing of categories including Automotive, Batteries, Construction, Electronics, Garden, Glass, Hazardous, Household, Metal, Paint, Paper and Plastic. When clicking on a category you get taken to distinct items that fit the category's profile. For example, if you select batteries you get listing of batteries of all types whether they be from laptops or remote controls. Once selecting the item you want to know about you are given a listing of recycle center or centers near you that will take the item. You get information on that place including the phone number, address, materials accepted and a link to the website. From my past use the search resulted in accurate local recycling centers. All users who want to do good and recycle properly should download this application.
Very useful!
Like most people, I have accumulated piles of electronic junk. I can't bring myself to be careless and just shove it irresponsibly into the dumpster, but I didn't know I could go locally to recycle it. This app informed of 20 places, most within 10 miles of my home (and one only 1 mile away), where I can go to recycle my shiz responsibly.
Very grateful that all this information is now in one place.

Made itself useful in 2 minutes!
Within 2 minutes of downloading this app I found a place to recycle an old gas grill that stopped working a year ago, which has been sitting there taking up space in my garage. Also found a place to recycle various type of light bulbs and batteries!
