Controls only problem
Saw this under new & noteworthy, saw it was a buck, and was looking for a arcade type game so I gave it a try. Nothing complicated here, you click or touch one end of the worm at a time and basically swing from platform to platform killing as many enemies as possible in order to reach the exit. The levels aren't timed and you get more points for killing as many enemies as you can by using your spiked iron tail on them, but when they touch your body or head, you lose a life. The first couple of levels make it seem too easy but it gets MUCH harder after that with swarms of enemies to evade then kill and increasingly higher and more difficult platforms to climb. The graphics are crisp, beautiful, with a true animated feel to them; I was very suprised considering the small download size. Sound effects are done nicely with an added visual bonus when you take out an enemy & the soundtrack is OK; generic heavy metal, works for the game. Great idea and overall execution of an arcade style game BUT the controls are a little sluggish. It works with a trackpad or mouse (trackpad seems to work better) but the part of the worm i touch to move doesn't always respond the first time making gameplay a little frustrating. Great buy for a buck, you'll definately get your money's worth, and would be an easy five stars if the controls are fine tuned.
Amazingly fun game for the whole family. Well done!
