The app provides healthcare professionals with a mobile toolkit to help them discuss fertility preservation options with cancer patients and their families.
The pocket guides include information on the risks of cancer treatment to fertility and options for fertility preservation for men, women and children.
The app includes four patient fact sheets that providers can email directly to patients. It also provides access to SaveMyFertility.org, a joint website of The Hormone Foundation® and the Oncofertility Consortium®.
Informative and important
Fertility is the last thing on a person's mind when they or a loved one is suddenly faced with a cancer diagnosis, but is rated one of the most important quality of life aspects for survivors. This app does a great job for summarizing the options available from both a patient and physician perspective, so that fertility concerns are integrated into the treatment design and discussion.
Fact sheets for patients and guides for providers. I love the ability to email fact sheets to patients without giving away my email address.
