Pretty good, but.......
While reading the previous negative reviews, I'm thinking "are they playing the same game that I am?" some complain "it's too hard!" others "it's too easy!". Then there are the complaints that there are no hints & they don't know what to do! FYI: the hint button recharges. You need to wait a minute before you go running for help!
I am no professional gamer & I am not a genius. So, my advice is that if you are not mentally challenged, you will be fine with this game. I think the programmers must roll on the floor when they read some of these comments.
My only complaint so far is when you need to screw in the light bulb & unscrew some bolts. You have to try over & over before it recognizes you are in the right spot. I guess the programmers have some sort of problem with screwing. I hope they are able to improve upon that!
Lame and boring. Third Big Fish HOG this month that I've passed on after purchasing 99% of its prior releases. Game is disjointed without a real sense of continuity. The cut scenes resemble cartoon panels and are way too long. One of the main characters disappears early in the game but it left me with the attitude of "Who cares?!?! - the character hadn't been developed enough at that time nor had we been given any real info on the Medallion. In fact it was the other character who came to the totally implausible conclusion that his girlfriend had been kidnapped from their bed in the middle of the night. How do we know that, after returning home from a long trip overseas, she found his performance kinda boring so she slipped out to see her other man? :-o Most definitely not one of Big Fish Games' better Hidden Object releases.
In many ways, this game is OK. Good graphics, decent puzzles, all that usual stuff.
I have had issues with screen responsiveness on some things. The puzzle instructions are always buried in the notebook instead of presented upfront, although maybe that's good if you don't like obtrusive instructions for things you already understand. I've spotted a couple instances of a personal pet peeve--object ambiguity, like where a puzzle has a hand fan and an electric fan. and "fan" is in the search list.
I think the thing that bugs me the most, though, is the way the character ("me") expresses things, like when I get something wrong. "Useless" I got used to, but "Don't do that" just keeps ticking me off. Not "try something else" or whatever, no. Just "Don't do that," like I'm being scolded. Who wrote for this game?
