MathSquared is a prototype series of grid-based puzzles using basic math operations that help learners develop logical thinking and reasoning strategies. Puzzles have different levels of challenge and include embedded supports for solving, such as a Scratch Pad for recording information that supports problem solving and the option for immediate feedback on your progress.
These puzzles were developed as part of the iSolveIt project at CAST (http://www.cast.org), an educational research & development organization that works to expand learning opportunities for all individuals through Universal Design for Learning (UDL). iSolveIt is a mobile digital learning environment that supports the development of logical thinking and reasoning skills, essential competencies for algebra and mathematics in general.

Ratings and Reviews
Very similar to KenKen
This is a set of logic puzzles, which looks to me like the KenKen game in some newspapers. It works fine (requires iOS6). I never got into the ones in the newspaper, because they were too hard for beginners. This game starts off easy. I wanted to drag the digits into the squares, but that's not how it works; you have to select the board square and then tap the digit you want in that square. I would also have liked an option to automatically go to the next puzzle when I solve one.
Fun, but needs directions
This is a fun puzzle that I think kids would like. However, I could not figure out the rules so I had to go online and do some research to find rules. There should be a simple rules option.
