Ratings and Reviews

So. Bad.

It's pretty embarrassing how terrible, fluky, unreliable, and utterly useless this app is, considering it was theoretically created by actual tech professionals. It's just a sad version of the perfectly good website, so if you're considering downloading the app, don't bother.

Improved, but still needs work

This is a fantastic companion app for the ISTE conference. It has improved a lot over the last few years. However I already have some suggestions for further improvement; specifically with the conference planner and I don't know where else to provide feedback for it. It would be nice if the planner portion included the icon codes (or other some other designation format) for the different strands, formats, etc. I know you can filter in the overview view, but I would like to be able to glance at my own saved planner and know which of the sessions are Posters, Spotlights, Registration required, etc. It would be helpful to filter by more than one criteria per category (for instance Posters AND Lectures). A nice integration of the planner with the map would be a fabulous addition if possible. For example, click on the session to see where it is located on the map. I would appreciate the planner more if I could see a "grid" view of my schedule. I'm very disappointed that the conference map is "buried" under Info Booth and not available for full screen view. Heck, it's not even available in landscape view, so I have to turn my iPad to look at it correctly! Overall, I like the smooth integration of the social media networks, the planner, and the other relevant conference information. The interface is clean and easy to navigate.

Adequate but in need of tweaks

I was very glad to see an app for ISTE. I was happy to see the helpful maps (once I located them), and enjoyed the app game, despite having earned few points. However, there are some things that could be improved upon.

It would have been helpful to have been able to filter the pre-registered and paid sessions for those who were browsing for content. Filtering (or being able to organize) the sessions per area would have allowed attendees the chance to see what all was being offered in the Tower View area (for instance) all in the same time block. Lastly, the planner needed to some tweaking. Perhaps the ability to see the day separated/organized in to time chuncks, to be able to highlight a session as "This is the most important in this time block and this is the one I'll go to if the other is full." Maybe even the ability to make easily-viewed notes (from the main planner page) to remind oneself why a particular session may have been selected over another.

Overall, I found the app to be adequate to the task and infinitely better than a paper catalogue. Thank you for putting it together.
